Applications are invited from prospective candidates for admission to the following courses of the session beginning in August 2012.

(i) PhD Program at IISER Mohali in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Earth & Environment Science and Humanities & Social Sciences
(ii) Integrated MS-PhD Program at IISER Mohali in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics

Eligibility Criteria (PhD) :
The applicant should have a Masters degree in Science / BTech / MBBS / MTech with a good academic record and should be GATE/ CSIR or UGC-NET/ JEST/ NBHM-JRF / ICAR-JRF / ICMR-JRF / DBT-JRF / DST- INSPIRE qualified.
Candidates interested in pursuing research in interdisciplinary areas are also encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria (Integrated MS-PhD) :
The applicant should have a Basic degree in Science / BTech / MBBS with a good academic record, and should have cleared one of the following National Examinations:

* General: IISc, Integrated PhD Entrance Test; JAM of IIT's; or any other entrance test for an MS / MSc program at a reputed institute or university.
* Mathematics: NBHM MSc fellowship or NBHM PhD fellowship.
* Physics: Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST).
Students who hold a DST INSPIRE fellowship or a KVPY scholarship are also eligible.

Application Procedure:
Prospective candidates, for PhD should apply online using the "Online Application Facility" at http://www.iisermohali.ac.in/acad/phd_instAug2012.html

Short-listed candidates will be invited for a screening-test / interview at IISER Mohali.

The online application facility will be open till 12.00 noon, April 07, 2012.

Candidates for Integrated MS-PhD have to download the application forms from http://www.iisermohali.ac.in/acad/intphdform_Aug12.pdf

The applicant should have a Masters Degree in Science / B.Tech./ MBBS / M.Tech. with a good academic record and should be GATE / CSIR OR UGC-NET / JEST / NBHM-JRF / ICAR-JRF / ICMR-JRF / DBT-JRF / DST-INSPIRE qualified.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BE FOLLOWED
1. Select PhD Admissions - Jan2012 and enter a valid E-mail address to register. This email id will be used for correspondence.
2. Once you register, the login information with password will be sent to your e-mail . Provide the same login(email id and password) and start your online application.
3. All fields marked by (*) are mandatory.
4. Filling all mandatory fields are required to make your application complete.
5. Move your mouse over the green icon besides each field for help if required.
6. Click “Save” to save your entries at each page.
7. Once you finish entering all the details and clicked “Save” button, a preview of all pages is shown for you to cross check your entries with a “Submit” button.
8. Form will only be submitted after clicking on “Submit”. Note that you cannot make any changes after that.
9. After you submit the form, “Download Report PDF” link is provided for you to download your application and take a print copy.
10. The print copy should be duly signed by the applicant with date.
