National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), a premier national centre excellence in rural development, announces admission into its 7^th One-year fully residential "Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM)' with an aim to create a committed and competent cadre of Rural Development Professionals in the country.

CSIR-NCL Invites Applications for Ph.D. Programme, January 2014 Session

The National Chemical Laboratory, Pune a premier research institute of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), invites applications for Ph.D. Programme from eligible candidates.

Eligibility for Ph.D. (Science): Candidates holding a Master's degree in Chemical / Physical / Biological and related Sciences / Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology / Medicine or B.S (of 4 year duration) and having a valid National level research fellowship offer (JRF/SRF) of various funding agencies (CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, BINC, DSTetc), INSPIRE or other equivalent research fellowships.

Applications from aspiring candidates are invited for admission into Fifth Batch of PGDSRD Programme and Second Batch of PGDTDM commencing from 1^st January 2014. Candidates having a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a University recognised by UGC are eligible for Admission. The admission of candidates in the above two Programmes will be done twice in a year (Janu­ary and July).

For the Academic Year which starts from January, 2014 the admission process will be completed by December, 2013. The candidates who are admitted in the month of January will have to complete the Programme by December. For those admitted in Second Semester second Academic Year will be from July, 2014 to June, 2015. The candidates who are admitted in the month of July will have to complete the Programme by June in the subsequent year.

Applications are invited for September 2014 entry to the United World Colleges situated in UK, Canada, USA, Italy, Hong Kong, Swaziland, Norway, India, Costa Rica and the Netherlands. The United World Colleges -

♦ Provide the opportunity for highly-motivated young people from diverse backgrounds to transcend the many boundaries which divide our world.

♦ Offer a two-year programme leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. This is recognised as equivalent to the completion of Grade XII by the Association of Indian Universities.
