Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Bhopal has invited applications from Indian Citizens for admission to the Ph. D. Programme for the semester commencing in December 2009 in areas of Biology (Biophysics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology), Chemistry (Theoretical/Computational; Physical & Inorganic Chemistry).

Minimum Qualification is M. Sc. Degree in respective and allied areas with 55% marks, with a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT. Financial aid (Assistantship/Scholarship) is provided for Ph. D Programme. BS-MS (integrated)
Candidates must have passed their final examination under the 10+2 system or its equivalent in the science stream in the year of application or the year before, and have also qualified any one of the followings:

IIT JEE
Regular and extended list

Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY)
SB+2 (year of application) or SA (previous year).

Indian National Olympiad Stage II
Class XII students who clear the Indian National Olympiads in physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics and qualify for attending the Training Campus.

Ph.D.
Admission to this program is after master's degree in any of the basic sciences. Applicants should have qualified CSIR/UGC/NET JRF or equivalent examination or GATE.
