BINC examination on February 26-27, 2011

 

Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, on behalf of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, will coordinate and conduct the BINC examination on February 26-27, 2011 at six centres namely, Pune University, Pune; Anna University, Chennai; West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata; Institute of Bioinformatics & Applied Biotechnology, Bangalore; North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong and University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. The objective of this examination is to certify bioinformatics professionals, trained formally as well as self-trained and the registration is open till 03-02-2011.

Eligibility: Graduate and above degrees in Science, Agriculture, Veterinary, Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering & Technology are eligible to appear in the examination. They need not have any formal training viz., certificate, diploma or degree in Bioinformatics. Students in final year of Bachelor ' s degree are also eligible to apply. International students are also eligible to apply.

A Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Payable at New Delhi(Nationalised Bank Only) for Rs. 600 for General category, Rs. 450 for Reserved category and US$100 for foreign students should be submitted with the application while doing registration.

The hard copy of the duly filled signed application form along with demand draft, two passport size photographs and caste certificate (if applicable) are to be sent to the Coordinator, BINC Examination,School of Computational & Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Mehrauli Road, NewDelhi-110067 on or before 03rd February 2011.
