Applications have been invited by National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapilli, Tamil Nadu, for admission to Ph.D and M.S.(By Research) Courses of January 2011 Session.

Ph.D Courses are offered in the departments: Civil/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Metallurgical & Materials Engineering/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Humanities/ Architecture.
Candidates with a Master's Degree in Engineering / Sciences / Humanities (English) / Management / Computer Applications and  Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examinations for General Category and mere pass for SC/ST Candidates are eligible to apply for the Ph.D Courses.

M.S. (By Research) Courses are offered in the departments: Chemical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Computer Science & Engg./ Instrumentation & Control Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Metallurgical & Materials Engg./ Production Engg.

Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in appropriate Branch of Engineering with valid GATE score and Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examinations for General Category and mere pass for SC/ST Candidates are eligible to apply for the M.S.(By Research) Course.

Downloaded and filled in applications should be accompanied by Registration fee of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST Candidates) by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of "DIRECTOR, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, TIRUCHIRAPPALLI-620015" payable at State Bank of India, NIT Branch (Code 1617) Tiruchirappalli.

The application forms, with necessary enclosures, should reach the Dean (Academic), National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli – 620 015 by 03-01-2011.
