M. Pharm Kerala Admissions 2011

Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has invited applications for admission to the Post Graduate Courses in Pharmacy (M. Pharm) - 2010. Selection to the Programme, except for seats reserved for Lecturer in Pharmacy, nominee of Drugs Control Department/Service candidates under DME/DHS/ESI and Sponsored candidates, will be based on an Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala on 23.01.2011 at Thiruvananthapuram.

The Entrance Examination shall be of the standard of B.Pharm and will consist of one paper of three hours duration with 200 objective (multiple choice) type questions.

Post Graduate Degree Course in Pharmacy is offered in (a) Pharmaceutical Analysis (b) Pharmacognosy & Phyto Chemistry (c) Pharmaceutics (d) Pharmacology (e) Pharmacy Practice and (f) Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin. For sponsored seats, all Indian citizens are eligible. Applicant should have passed B.Pharm Degree of any of the Universities in Kerala or of any other Universities recognized by the Kerala University of Health & Allied Sciences as equivalent thereto from an institution recognized by the AICTE with a minimum of 55% marks for all the four years of B.Pharm examination taken together. For Lecturers in Pharmacy, who seek admission against the reserved quota, the minimum marks will be 55%.

Application has to be submitted online at www.cee.kerala.gov.in/mpharm2010/main/frame.html Prospectus is also available at www.cee-kerala.org/mpharm/2010/prospectus.pdf  Application Fee of Rs.800/- has to be remitted at any branch of State Bank of Travancore using the Bank Chalan which can be downloaded from the CEE website, while submitting the application.

Those residing outside Kerala can remit the application fee by way of Demand Draft drawn from any Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. For Service & Sponsored candidates, application fee should be remitted in the Treasury under the Head of Account "0210-03-105-99".

Those applying for Entrance Examination should take a printout of the application form, affix passport size photograph duly attested by the candidate in the space provided and forward their completed application with all the required documents mentioned in clause XII of the Prospectus including original Bank Chalan/DD, to reach the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala-695 001, either by Registered Post/Speed Post/Hand Delivery latest by 5 pm on 12.01.2011.

Applicants for Service quota seats/Sponsored seats should complete all the procedures mentioned in clause XI of the Prospectus and are required to forward the completed application form along with copies of all required documents and original chalan receipt from the Treasury to 'The Director of Medical Education, Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram-695 011', through their Heads of Department before the last date.

Those who apply for both the Entrance Examination and Service/ Sponsored quota seats should submit the original application to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and a photocopy of the application form to the DME. However, separate fees should be remitted for the purpose as applicable.

Applicants have to obtain the required certificates in the respective format given in the Application form itself. The certificates, which are not in the format specified in the application form, will not be considered under any circumstances. The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, publish the Select and Wait list of candidates based on merit as assessed in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to Director of Medical Education for allotment and admission.

The two year Course is offered at the two Government College namely, (i) College of Pharmaceutical Sciences,Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram and (ii) College of Pharmaceutical Sciences,Medical College, Kozhikode. It is also offered at (i) Al- Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna,Malappuram (ii) Nehru College of Pharmacy,Pampady,Thiruvilwamala,Thrissur (iii) Grace College of Pharmacy,Kodunthirappally, Palakkad (iv) Devakiamma Memorial College of  Pharmacy,Chelembra,Malappuram and at (v) National College of Pharmacy,Mukkam,Kozhikode which are Self-financing Colleges.
