NDA and NA Exam(II) on Aug 21, 2011

Union Public Service Commission will conduct NDA and NA examination on 21 August 2011 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA and Naval Academy for the Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from June 2012 . The candidates joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B Tech Course and would also be given an opportunity to join Technical Branch of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies.

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:
(a) Nationality : A candidate must either be :
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

(b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : "Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st January, 1996 are eligible".

(c) Educational Qualifications :
(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent exmination can also apply for this examination.

(d) Physical Standards :
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2010 as per guidelines given in Appendix-V.

HOW TO APPLY:
(a) Candidates who wish to apply Offline must apply in the Common Application form (Form-E) devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the desginated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 30/- (Rupees Thirty only).

In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated HPOs/POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned post Master or UPSC's "FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL" over Telephone No. 011-23389366/FAX No. 011-23387310.

(b) Candidates may apply Online using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website

FEE :
(a) Candidates applying Online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty Only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
(b) Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) through a single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp. Central Recruitment Fee Stamp of the requisite denomination (NOT postage stamps) must be obtained from the post office and affixed on the application form in the space provided therein.
(c) Candidates Belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes are not required to pay any Fee.

LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS :
(a) Through Offline:
All offline applications must reach the "Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by Courier, on or before the 9th May 2011. However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities, the last date for receipt of application by Post/Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 16th May 2011.

(a) Through Online:
The online Applications can be filled upto 9th May 2011 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled.

The Examination will be held at the following Centers:

Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizwal, Allahabad, Bangalooroo, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Portblair, Raipur, Ranchi , Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvanathapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur, Vishakhapatnam.
