Ph.D Admissions 2011-2012

Defence institute of advanced technology (DIAT), Pune has invited applications for admission to PhD programme in various areas of science and technology as follows for the Academic Year 2011-12.

1. Applied Chemistry
2. Mechanical Engineering
3. Applied Mathematics
4. Material Science
5. Applied Physics
6. Aerospace (Area - Nano Tech / Nano Science)
7. Electronics Engineering
8. Computer Engineering


Eligibility Criteria:
(a) 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in ME / MTech with valid NET / SET certificate for PhD in Engineering and Master of Science with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA for PhD in Science.
(b) The candidates who are in the final semester of their degree are eligible to apply; provided they have secured over 60% (CGPA 6.5/10) in semesters till the final semester. Mark sheet up to the last semester should be enclosed.
(c) Provisional certificate in such cases along with Mark sheet of the final semester are required to be submitted before commencement of programme.

Relaxation in qualification examination as follows is applicable:
3% in case of OBC Candidates and 5% for SC / ST candidates.

Application fee of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC / ST Candidates) per programme is to be paid online and the transaction ID has to be indicated in the application being uploaded online. A copy of the payment confirmation / challan copy have to be presented during verification at the time of interview.

Completed applications are to reach Registrar, DIAT, Girinagar, Pune-411025 on or before 25th November 2011.
Tentative date of written Test/Interview is 2nd week of December 2011
