One year Pre-Sea Training in Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering (PGDME)
Applications have been invited by Indian Maritime University, Cochin for direct admission to One year Pre-Sea Training in Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering (PGDME) formerly known as Graduate Marine Engineering (GME), course starting from 03rd January, 2012.
Eligibility criteria:
BE / BTech (Mechanical or Naval Architecture) Degree from AICTE approved college or the IIT with minimum 50% marks in final year and minimum 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard.
Age:
Maximum 28 years on date of commencement of training (03rd January, 2012). Age relaxation of five years for SC / ST candidates and two years for female candidates applicable.
Medical standard:
As per existing MS medical standards for pre sea training. Good health and eyesight in general.Medical fitness certificate from DGS Approved Medical Practitioner to be obtained before admission.
Course fee:
Rs. 3,00,000/- (Subject to revision by Indian Maritime University, from time to time) payable in two installments. Keep Demand Draft for Rs.1,50,000/- ready to deposit & join course immediately.
Processing fee:
Rs.1,000/- by DD issued by a nationalised bank in the name of 'Indian Maritime University, Cochin Campus' payable at Cochin to be deposited along with the application form.
