MCA (Master of Computer Applications) 
M.Sc. (Computer Science) 



Eligibility conditions 
(a)   Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
Any bachelor’s degree examination  (10+2+3 scheme) of the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least  one paper in Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics/Statistics/Operations Research/Computer Science) under annual mode/at least  two papers in Mathematical Sciences in semester mode of examination. 
Minimum percentage required: 60% marks in aggregate.
The candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the degree on the basis of which admission is sought are also eligible to apply.

(b)  M.Sc. (Computer Science) 
(i) B.Sc. (Honours) Computer Science (10+2+3 scheme) from University of Delhi or 
any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi with 60% marks in aggregate. 
(ii) B.Sc. Applied Physical Sciences with Mathematics and Computer Science/B.Sc.(General) Mathematical Sciences (10+2+3 scheme) with Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Delhi or any other University  whose examination is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi. Minimum Percentage required 60% marks in the aggregate along with 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately.
(iii) Any Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 scheme) of University of Delhi with at least six papers in Computer Science and two papers in Mathematics under Semester system/at least three papers in Computer Science and one paper in Mathematics under Annual Examination System; or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi. Minimum Percentage required 60% marks in the aggregate, and 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately.
(iv) PGDCA from University of Delhi with at least two papers in Mathematics at under-graduate level. Minimum Percentage required 60% marks in PGDCA examination and 60% marks in Mathematics at under-graduate level. 
The candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the degree on the basis of which admission is sought are also eligible to apply.

Note:  The Department will not be responsible for non-delivery or delayed delivery of the form sent by post.


Admission of Foreign Nationals 
Foreign students seeking admission in the department and satisfying the eligibility criteria as mentioned in 3 are required to apply through the Deputy Dean (Foreign Students), Foreign Students Registry (FSR), c/o  Room No. 11, First Floor Conference Center University of Delhi, Delhi  - 110 007 (India). However, those foreign students who have passed the Bachelor’s Degree examination (or are appearing for the same) from an Indian University would be required to appear for the Entrance  Test conducted by the Department of Computer Science. In addition to applying through the Foreign Student’s Registry office, these students would also be required to fill up the application form of the Department of Computer Science. On qualifying for admission, the admission of the foreign students will be finalized through the FSR office of University of Delhi. No foreign students will be admitted directly by the Department.

Foreign students are advised to submit TOEFL/IELTS score. 










Admission Procedure
MCA

Mode-I  
50% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit in the B.Sc. (H) Computer Science Examinations of University of Delhi. The students seeking admission under this mode must apply for admission by the last date mentioned in this bulletin.
Mode-II
Remaining 50% seats shall be filled through an entrance  test conducted by the Department of Computer Science followed by interview. The entrance test will consist of two  tests.  Test I will be objective type and  Test II will consist of subjective type questions.

Note: If M is the number of seats in a particular category, answer sheets of  Test II shall be evaluated only for the top 6M scorers of Test I in that category and top 3M scorers of Test II shall be called for the interview. There shall be 80% weightage for the entrance test (only Test II) and 20% weightage for the interview.
In the event of any shortfall of admission under mode-I, the remaining seats will be added to the quota for the candidates seeking admission through  Mode II. If a candidate is shortlisted  for admission  in both the  modes, he/she will be admitted through mode I only. Future withdrawals will not change the mode of admission of a candidate already admitted.  

    M.Sc. (Computer Science)  
           Mode-I

Mode-II
For admission against the remaining 50% seats in the M.Sc. Computer Science course, the candidates are required to take the entrance test which will consist of two parts:
                  Test I : Objective type questions.
      Test II : Comprehensive questions.
Students with 40% marks in Test-I will qualify for Test-II.
