SENIOR
ACADEMIC FELLOWSHIP (SENIOR FELLOWSHIP), 2012-2013
Applications
are invited on the prescribed form so as to reach the undersigned on or before 30.10.2012 from candidates for the
award of Senior Academic Fellowship
(Senior Fellowship) of the value of Rs.
40000/- p.m. with a contingency grant of Rs. 40000/- p.a.
A.
The term of the Fellowship shall be for a maximum period of 2 years,
extendable by 1 more year in special
circumstances if recommended by the Research
Projects Committee.
B.
The maximum number of Senior Academic Fellowship available for the year 2012-2013 is 10 (ten) only.
C.
Candidates who might have been awarded a Senior Academic Fellowship
(Senior Fellowship) prior to April 2012
but have not taken it up until June
2012, will have to appear for an
interview.
1.
Senior scholars are invited to submit research proposals which will be refereed
by experts appointed by the ICHR.
2.
On the basis of the expert’s assessment, selected candidates shall be required
to make a presentation for half an hour
on the proposed subject of research.
3.
The award of the Fellowship will be decided by a Committee of specialists, on
the basis of the expert’s evaluation of
the proposal and the presentation made
by the candidate.
4.
The presentation by the applicant will be held at the ICHR’s offices at New
Delhi.
5. Second class railway or bus fare chargeable
by the shortest routes from Railway Station / Bus Stand nearest to their normal
place of residence or from where they
actually perform the journey, whichever is nearer to the venue of presentation
will be reimbursed to eligible
candidates on production of tickets.
