Centre for Advanced Faculty Training in Veterinary Clinical Medicine, Ethics and Jurisprudence, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai-600007, Tamil Nadu has invited applications for admission to National Training Programme on "Updates in Veterinary Emergency and Critical care Medicine in Farm and Pet animal Practice" from 4th to 24th February, 2014 (21 days)

Course outline:
It will consist of a combination of lecture and case discussion sections. Although all of the discussions will center on small animal medicine, the same principles often apply to both small animal and large animal situations. Topics that are to be covered include shock, trauma, stabilization, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, respiratory emergencies, cardiac emergencies, endocrine emergencies, acute renal failure, hematologic emergencies, transfusion medicine, respiratory monitoring, hemodynamic monitoring, acute abdomen, emergency surgical procedures, and sepsis. The class will focus on both emergency stabilization and management of critically ill patients.

Eligibility:
Interested Veterinary Professionals working as Faculty members / Scientists in the field of Veterinary Clinical Sciences as well as other branches of Veterinary and Animal Sciences employed at SAUs / SVUs / ICAR and Central Institutes.

How to apply:
The participants’ application will be received online (ICAR mandate) using CBP vortal through http://iasri.res.in/cbp  or under the link Capacity Building Program at
http://icar.org.in.  After filling the online application, take a printout of the application and get it approved by the competent authority of the organization and Upload the scanned copy of application through CBP vortal on or before 20.01.2014. Selection of participants will be from online applications and the selected participants list will be uploaded/ displayed on the vortal.

However, he / she may send an advance copy (via e-mail) directly to the course director. The selected candidates will be informed individually also.
