MBA-PhD Admission Notice 2014-2016
Applications have been invited by Faculty of
Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi for admission to following MBA
and Ph.D Programmes of Academic Year 2014-16
PhD (Management)
Two - year MBA (Full Time)
Two - year MBA-Executive (Evening Programme)
Two - year MBA-Executive HCA (Evening Programme)
ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA:
2-year full-time MBA programme:
Candidates applying for admission to the MBA
full-time programme must have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor's Degree
programme after twelve years of formal schooling in any of the following
disciplines. The minimum requisite percentage of marks in different disciplines
is as follows:
Arts, Commerce or Social Sciences- 50%
Sciences- 55%
Mathematics or Statistics- 60%
Medicine, Engineering or Technology- 60%/ CGPA of
at least 6 on a scale of 10
OR
Post Graduate Degree or Second Degree examination
after 10+2+3scheme, securing at least 60%marks.
Relaxation in the minimum eligibility will be
allowed only to candidates of the following categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/CW).As per
the existing University Rules, the candidates belonging to PH/CW are eligible
for a relaxation of 5 per cent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
SC/ST candidates should have qualifying marks in graduation degree. The
candidates belonging to OBC category are eligible for relaxation in the minimum
eligibility to the extent of 10% of the minimum eligibility marks/qualifying
marks prescribed for general category. For reservation of other categories,
University of Delhi rules are applicable.
Note : Candidates in the final year of Bachelor’s
Degree/Post-Graduate Degree programme are eligible to apply and appear in the
Test, irrespective of their percentage of scores obtained so far, as long as
they expect to fulfill the eligibility criteria when their results are
declared. (The candidates will have to provide their final result before 1st
October 2014).
2-year
MBA-Executive Programme:
Candidates applying for admission to the two-year
MBA-Executive programme must have pursued at least a three-year Bachelor's Degree
programme after twelve years of formal schooling, having secured minimum 45%
aggregate marks in any of the disciplines such as Arts, Commerce, Social
Sciences, Sciences, Mathematics/Statistics, Medicine, Engineering or
Technology. Additionally, he/she should have at least five years of experience
as an executive or an administrator in a commercial/industrial/government
establishment/registered organization after passing the Bachelor's Degree
examination. Experience shall be determined as on the 1st July of the year of
admission. Candidate should be either sponsored or produce a “No Objection
Certificate” to pursue the programme from his/her present employer.
2-year MBA-Executive (Health Care Administration)
Programme:
Candidates seeking admission to the two-year
MBA-Executive (Health Care Administration) programme must have a bachelor
degree, having secured minimum of 45% aggregate marks in any of the discipline
such as Medicine (MBBS)/ Dentistry(BDS)/ Biotechnology/ Genomics/ Genetics/
Nursing/ Bioengineering/ Alternative Systems of Medicine/ Paramedical
discipline/ Pharmacology/ Anthropology/ Zoology/or an examination recognized as
equivalent. The bachelor's degree should be of the University of Delhi or any
other recognized University/deemed University/Institute.
Additionally, he/she should have at least five
years of experience as an executive or an administrator in a commercial/
industrial/ government establishment/registered organization after acquiring
the bachelor degree (excluding internship). Experience shall be determined as
on the 1st July of the year of admission. Candidate should be either sponsored
or produce a “No Objection Certificate” to pursue the programme from his/her
present employer.
PhD
programme:
To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D.
programme, a candidate must have obtained a Master's/ M. Phil. degree of the
University of Delhi, or any other recognized University, or a Post-graduate
Degree in an allied subject equivalent thereof. She/he must have obtained
either a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the M.Phil. degree or a
minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the Master's degree.
Candidates having an MBA/Masters Degree in an
allied subject from University of Delhi or equivalent would be required to
write the Entrance Test of FMS for admission to the Ph.D. programme. Such
applicants should have a minimum of two years of experience post their
MBA/Masters Degree on the date of writing the admission test.
Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree of four years
or more, viz. B.Tech. or M.B.B.S., who have obtained a minimum of 70% and 60%
marks or equivalent grades respectively, and also have obtained any national
level fellowships, are also eligible to apply for the Ph.D.. Programme.

criteria for enrolment to the Doctoral programme of the University of Delhi

Permanent teachers of any recognized University/College
other than the University of Delhi, employees of a Research Institute in India
and candidates sponsored by their employers will be considered for admission to
the Ph.D. programme only if they obtain study leave for a period of two years
to fulfil the residency requirements of the Ph.D. programme of the University
of Delhi.
APPLICATION
PROCEDURE:
Applicants can register themselves for admission to
M.B.A. (Full-Time) and Ph.D. programmes through FMS website www.fms.edu by
filling up online registration forms and by paying the requisite fee of
Rs.1000/- (Rs.350/- for SC/ST/Person With Disability category) for each
programme, till 31st December, 2013. Admission to M.B.A. (Full-Time) programme
will be based on Personal Interview, Group Discussion and CAT-2013 score
(Common Admission Test conducted by Indian Institutes of Management during
October 16th, 2013 to November 11th, 2013) while admission to Ph.D programme
will be based on Personal Interview and CAT 2013 score, wherein applicable.
Applicants may visit www.cat2013iimidr.ac.in for appearing in the Common Admission Test
(CAT) 2013. Applicants who have not taken CAT-2013 will not be considered for
admission. The details of Personal Interview based admission procedure /
selection criteria for these programmes are available in the Information
Bulletin of Faculty of Management Studies.
Note :
(i)
A candidate may apply for one or more
programmes of FMS.
(ii)
Incomplete form(s) and those without
requisite fee will not be entertained.
(iii)
FMS, University of Delhi will not be
responsible for any postal delay.
(iv)
FMS will not entertain any chargeback cases
of online payment.
(v)
All matters of dispute will be subject to
the legal jurisdiction of Delhi only.
(vi)
Those applying for the reserved category
seats (SC/ST/OBC/PwD/CW) need to send self-attested photocopy of their applicable
category certificate.
(vii)
All candidates are required to send the
computer generated registration form, after online registration, along with the
supporting documents to FMS latest by 13th January 2014.
(viii)
FMS
uses CAT score for shortlisting the candidates for the above programmes . IIMs
have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the
programme.
(ix)
The eligibility criteria for CAT is as set
by the IIMs.
(x)
The candidates should follow the CAT
advertisement of IIMs for procurement of CAT Vouchers through designated
branches of bank(s) and other designated places as indicated in the CAT 2013
advertisement.
