There is lot more to be understood- theories,
concept and contemporary research tools to meet the challenges posed by today’s
complex business world. While an MBA degree can get one the abilities to solve
tactical business problems, it requires a Ph.D. well equipped with
state-of-the-art research skills to provide real insights through focused
research and thus help an organization tread the right path. Through a doctoral
programme (with full time Job) an experienced executives can contribute to the
field of management science by doing research on the problems and issues in contemporary
business world in a rigorous and relevant way.

Eligibility
The candidates for the programme should have one of
the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated
by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational
institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a
university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent
qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an
equivalent
qualification from an institution approved by
AICTE.
A Masters’ degree or its equivalent in any
discipline with minimum 55% aggregate marks
OR
A Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 60% marks or
equivalent grade point average
OR
Any professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA
and CS with a minimum 55% aggregate marks (for Finance area)
1. Should be currently employed in full time job
2. At least seven years of
executive/managerial/academic experience in the relevant
area as on 30th June 2014. For
engineering graduates the executive/managerial/ teaching experience should be
eight years.
In addition, all the candidates should have secured
a minimum of 55 % marks in all their public examinations starting with the
secondary level.
Age Limit
Candidates must not be more than 55 years of age as
on 30th June 2014.
Selection Process
Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria
stated above are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs.
Alternatively, those who have qualified GRE/ GATE/ GMAT/ JRF-NET (UGC/CSIR) and
*WMP Test examinations ( * written test conducted by IIM Lucknow, Noida Campus
for its WMP Programme, sometimes during First/Second week of April 2014) are
also eligible to apply. Scores of any one of these examinations including CAT
taken during the last two years (i.e., on or after 01 April, 2012) will be
considered valid. Candidates, who are appearing for CAT/WMP admission test/
GRE/ GMAT/ GATE and JRF of UGC/CSIR may fill in relevant column of EFPM
application form andprovide EFPM admission application information in CAT/WMP
admission test GRE/ GMAT/ GATE and JRF application form.
Candidates who have already obtained a
PGDM/IPMX/WMP programme from any of the IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 5.0 on a 10
point scale are exempted from this requirement, and can apply directly through
the prescribed application form. Such applicants are also eligible to get a
waiver of course work and exempted from mandatory course work which are offered
in first year program of Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM
programme).
All application form will be screened by separate
screening committee whose representatives will be from EFPM committee and
respective areas. The candidates short-listed on the basis of their academic
record and performance in the competitive examinations mentioned above will be
called to IIM Lucknow, Noida Campus, for a personal interview for final
selection in May 2014 and the successful candidates will receive offers in June
2014
Reservation
Reservation for eligible categories will be as per
Government of India rules applicable for doctoral programme at the time of
admission.
Duration of the Programme and Accommodation
Five campus
visits of 21 days’ duration each are needed to finish the course work of non exempted
students during two years whereas three campus visits of 21 days’ duration each
are needed to finish the course work of exempted students during one year. Non-
exempted students will visit campus for additional three weeks (over a period
of six months) as per convenience of TAC to complete dissertation work. It is
suggested that a candidate desirous of good and robust work need to spend at
least three weeks per year after completion of comprehensive Examination.
During campus visits, the arrangements for board and lodge will be made in the campus
guest house/Executive Hostel. The fee payable for board and lodge
facility will be intimated before the commencement
of term by the EFPM office.
EFPM is a part time non - residential programme.
The student is expected to complete the programme ordinarily in four years and
a maximum of six years.
Under special circumstances, students are eligible
to get one time extension of one year and if they fail to complete the
programme, their registration will be terminated on completion of seven years.
Course Fee
The course fee for exempted Candidates will be Rs.
4,00,000/- while it is Rs. 5,50,000 for the non exempted students. This does
not include boarding & lodging during campus visits. Brochure

After four years of program, the candidate will pay
Rs.50,000 per year as course fee in the subsequent years.
HOW TO APPLY
The EFPM application form can be downloaded from
the website http://www.iiml.ac.in from 3rd rd Week of October, 2013.
A candidate is eligible to submit applications to a maximum of two areas. In
such cases, two copies of the application form, one for each area, with all
supporting documents may be sent together. Completed application forms along
with a draft of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favor of IIM Lucknow payable at Delhi
should be sent to the following address. The application form can also be
obtained from the office on request.
Duly filled in application form along with a draft
of Rs.1000/-(Rs. 500 for SC/ST Candidates) must reach the following address on or before 28
February, 2014.
