Admission Notice 2014
Applications in prescribed formats are invited for
admission in the following courses at LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health,
Tezpur, for the session 2014, under Gauhati University. Entrance Examination
for these courses will be held on 9th March, 2014:
1. M. Phil in Clinical Psychology - 4 seats
2. M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work - 5 seats
3. M. Sc. Nursing(Psychiatric Nursing) - 12 seats
Eligibility
Criteria:
i. M. Phil in Clinical Psychology: Post Graduate
degree from a UGC recognized University in Psychology/Counselling
Psychology/Clinical Psychology/ Applied Psychology/Psychological Counseling,
with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
Duration: Two (2) years.
Reservation: 4 (UR-1, OBC-1, SC- 1 and ST-1)
ii. M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work (PSW):
Post-graduate degree in Social Work from a UGC recognized university securing
not less than 55% marks in aggregate in Master’s degree.
Duration: Two (2) years.
Reservation: 5 (UR-3, OBC-1 and SC-1)
iii. M. Sc. Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing): The
candidate should possess certificate of B.Sc./Post-basic B.Sc. degree in Nursing
with not less than 55% aggregate marks from a college/institute/university
recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. The applicant should be registered
with the State Nursing Council, with minimum one (1) year of working experience
as on the day of admission.

Interested candidates may apply online by filling
the application form made available on the
website: www.lgbrimh.org.
After filling up all relevant sections (as per
instruction given in the prospectus) the application form is to be submitted
online.
• A copy of online generated form is to be printed
and duly signed by the candidate and sent to “The Director, LGBRIMH, Tezpur,
784001” on or
before 10.02.2014 along with all supporting documents and a Demand
Draft of Rs.200/- for unreserved/ OBC (NLC) and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates
(nonrefundable) in favour of “the Director, LGBRIMH, Tezpur, 784001” payable at
Tezpur, Assam.
• The hard copy of the online generated application
form should be accompanied by 2 copies of his/her recent passport size photographs
(names written at the back of the photographs). The envelope containing
application and other relevant documents must be super scribed with the “Name
of Course applied
for………………………”
