Course Duration:
4 Weeks Full time (
Theory and Practicals)* + 2 Weeks Project**
Course Fee:
The short listed
candidate will be charged Rs 6000/- (inclusive of service tax) towards course
fee for attending the course. A DD for Rs 6000/- is to be drawn at any of the
scheduled commercial bank in favor of “CDAC” payable at “Hyderabad” .
Reservation and fee
waiver for SC/ST candidates is as per the Government of India rules.
ESDM Initiative
Electronics and
Hardware Industry is increasingly finding applications in all sectors of the
economy and thus is accepted as a key enabler in development of our country.
The current growth trend and its existing contribution to the global electronics
industry indicates that the share of IT Hardware and Electronics Manufacturing
Industry in India, in terms of output and employment, has the potential to grow
manifolds, driven by its emergence in the global electronics manufacturing
value chain.
In order to create
a conducive environment for manufacture of high technology, capital intensive
semiconductors and other high tech electronic products, attract global
investments as well as bridge the viability gap due to lack of adequate
infrastructure and ecosystem, Government of India has announced number of
initiatives in the country. To this aspect, there is also a need to ensure
availability of trained human resources for this sector in order to sustain
growth and to achieve the targets set for this sector.
In this regards
Department of Electronics and Information Technology(DeitY) Govt. of India, has
initiated a project entitled 'Capacity building in the areas of Electronics
Product Design and Production Technology' which is being executed by NIELIT
Aurangabad, C-DAC Hyderabad and NIELIT Chennai to carry out manpower
development, promote affordable electronics design, R&D etc.
Short Term
Certificate Courses (STCC) is a joint initiative by these centres to generate
skilled manpower in Electronics and related areas who would contribute towards
the growth of the industry.The certificate courses offered include and
"Embedded System Design" and "Electronic Packaging &
Industrial Design"

Under this initiative,
short term certificate courses are being planned for the students to enhance
their skills in Electronics and enable then to be a part of developmental
activities in this area. Training under this program is conducted by NIELIT
Aurangabad, C-DAC Hyderabad and NIELIT Chennai.

**The 2 weeks of
project work would be carried out by the STCC students which could be completed
on part time basis.
Note:- Top 25%
candidates who have successfully completed STCC would be given an opportunity
to carry out his/her engineering major project at C-DAC.
Selection Procedure
Selection procedure
is based on marks obtained in Qualifying Degree;and the aggregate marks
obtained till 3rd year 2nd semester in case of final year students.
1) The students
will be selected only based on merit.
2) Admissions will
be made in accordance with the course given by the candidates and based on the
merit in the qualifying degree and the number of seats available in selected
course.
3) Centres decision
regarding the admission shall be final and binding on all candidates.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates
are required to register through online, www.cdachyd.in/esdm/stcc
Before filling the
Online application the candidate should be ready with
Credit or Debit
card for making Online Payment of Rs.100/-
Scanned Passport
size photograph of size less than 50 KB.
In the application,
the candidate is required to give course in which he/she undergo the course.
The change of the course strictly not be entertained at any of the later
stages.
Instructions for
Photo Uploading
Please use a
scanned Passport size photograph for uploading .
Resolution of the
scanned photograph must be in the range of 200-300 dpi(pixels/inch).
Format of the
scanned photograph must be either .jpg or .jpeg.
Size of photo to be
uploaded must be less than 50KB.
Please select scanned
photograph present on your system with the help of 'Browse' button.
The selected
photograph can be uploaded in the space allocated, by using the 'Browse' button
for selecting and 'Upload' button for uploading
After verification
of the uploaded photograph, in case the candidate wants to replace the
photograph, he may do so by using 'Submit Later' button
Candidate may use
the 'Submit Now' button for final submission.
After final
submission, the candidate will not be able to make any more corrections
General
Instructions
Candidate must
ensure that he/she is fulfilling the eligibility criteria. The certificates
will be verified for eligibility on the date of admission. If it is found that
the eligibility criteria is not met, the selection will be cancelled.
Please keep the print
out of duly filled-in on-line application form for your personal records and
for future reference.
Please fill in the
application form completely. Incomplete application form will be summarily
rejected.
Providing incorrect
/ false information will lead to cancellation of candidature or termination of
the training.
C-DAC's decision
regarding the admission shall be final and binding on all candidates.
Please note that
the upload of photograph is mandatory in the on-line application form
The confirmed list
of selected candidates will be displayed on the website as per given schedule.
The training
program is purely a non-residential program.
There is no hostel
facility. Candidates have to make their own boarding and lodging arrangements.
