be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised University with aggregate 50
percent marks. Candidates appearing for final year degree examination can also
apply if they expect to score high marks.

Eligibility
For Part Time
programme an applicant should be a graduate in any discipline with a minimum of
two years work experience. Classes for this programme are held only on Sundays
and holidays.

Admission is based on
the marks secured in the Plus Two ((minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and
Maths with 50% separate minimum for mathematics) and the score in the Common
Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations.
Seat Allotment
Seats are allotted
from the ranklist prepared on the basis of Plus Two mark and the score in the
Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance
Examinations except for NRI quota. Merit is the only criteria for selection.

M.Tech Programme
The M.Tech Programme
offered by the SCMS School of Engineering & Technology (SSET) is approved by
the AICTE and affiliated to the M.G. University, Kottayam.
Eligibility
B.Tech./B.E. with
minimum of 60% marks are eligible to apply. Non- GATE candidates can also
apply. Students having valid GATE score will have preference over others.

have a minimum 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination.
Candidates must have
a DTE rank . For a Director of Technical Education (DTE) rank the candidates
are required to register online on the www.dtekerala.gov.in.

for admissions.

Master of Computer Applications ( MCA )
A three year Master
of Computer Applications (MCA) programme is also offered at SSET , which is
approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and is affiliated to
M.G.University, Kottayam.
Eligibility
As per Mahatma Gandhi
University Norms. Selection to MCA programme is based on an Entrance
Examination conducted by the Kerala State Entrance Commissioner CAT for MCA Institutes
in Kerala.

Master of Business Administration ( MBA )
Eligibility
Candidates applying
for admission to MBA Programme must have passed a Bachelor's Degree examination
of the Mahatma Gandhi University or an equivalent degree of any other
University duly recognised by the Mahatma Gandhi University. A minimum of Fifty
percent marks in the qualifying exam is compulsory according to university
regulations.
Candidates with 50%
marks aggregate in any Master's degree from the MG University or any other
University recognised by it can also apply.

Eligibility
The minimum
qualification for admission to the three year MCA programme is B.Sc. /BCA/ B.Tech.
/B.A./ B.Com degree with mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at
graduation with not less than 55% marks, excluding languages, in the qualifying
examination.
Candidates with B.Sc.
Computer Science, BCA, or B.Sc. or B.Com degree of the Mahatma Gandhi
University or any other degree, of the university or any other university
considered valid / equivalent thereto by the University need only apply.
A valid entrance rank

Research and Development offers Ph.D Programmes
Eligibility
The candidates should
have a minimum of 50% marks in M.Sc / M.Tech /M.Phil in any branch of scienceor
Engineering with relevant specialization in any one of the above research areas
.
Faculty members
working in University Departments/Affiliated Colleges/Industry/R&D labs
with at least 5 years of teaching/research experience can also register for
Ph.D.
Integrated Ph.D programme
Eligibility
B.Sc graduates
(10+2+3/4) in Bioscience and Biotechnology; B.Tech in Biotech ,Biomedical /
Bioengineering/ Industrial Microbiology and M.Sc. degree holders in science
(10+2+3+2) with relevant specialization for pursuing advanced research in
emerging areas of biosciences and biotechnology leading to the Ph.D degree of
the university.
Those who are in the
final year of the qualifying examination and awaiting results are also eligible
to apply.
Integrated Ph.D has two phases
Phase I - M.Tech (by
research)/ M.Sc (by research). In Phase I the candidate should follow a regular
course work along with research.
After the successful
completion of the Phase I, the candidate will be awarded M.Tech (by research)
and M.Sc (by research) in the case of B.Sc candidates in the respective
specialization.
Phase II – Ph.D In
Phase II the interested candidates can continue to work for their Ph.D degree
in the chosen area of research.
M.Tech (by research) Programme
Eligibility
Bachelor degree
holders in biotech & biomedical engineering or related disciplines and
M.Sc degree holders
in Science relevant to all biological sciences, life sciences and biotechnology
and computer applications of any recognized (Indian and Foreign) University
approved by UGC/AIU with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible
