MBBS / BDS Degree courses for 2014-2015
session through Single Window system
Applications are invited by The Secretary Selection Committee,
No.162, Periyar EVR High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai -600 010 from Citizens of India
who are Natives of Tamil Nadu for admission to MBBS / BDS Degree courses for 2014-2015
session in Government / Self Financing Medical /Dental institutions under the
Single Window system in the State of Tamil Nadu.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
a) Candidate should be a Citizen of India.
b) Overseas Citizens of India who are registered under secion 7A
of the Citizenship Act, 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955) are eligible to apply for
MBBS/BDS courses subject to the production of proof of such registration.
Nativity:
i) Candidate should be a Native of Tamil Nadu
ii) Candidates who have studied from VIII to XII standards in
schools in Tamilnadu need not enclose the “ Nativity Certificate”
iii) Candidates who are native of TamilNadu but studied from VIII
to XII Std either partly or completely in schools situated outside Tamil Nadu
should produce the “Nativity Certificate.
Age Limit:
Should have completed the age of Seventeen years on or before 31st
December 2014. Evidence should be produced.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the
qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination
(Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board /any other equivalent Board
in one and the same attempt (Single Sitting) in the following group of subjects
with the minimum eligible marks.
(a) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
(or)
(b) Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other subject.

APPLICATION MODALITY:
The application form with Prospectus will be issued at the
following Government Medical Colleges and Tamil Nadu Government Dental College,
Chennai on all days from 14.05.2014 to 30.05.2014 from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
(Except Sundays). The last date for submission of the filled up application is
on 02.06.2014 upto 5.00pm..

The candidates can obtain the application on a written requisition
to the Deans / Principal of the above Government Medical / Dental Institutions
duly enclosing a crossed Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank dated not
earlier than 11.05.2014
payable at Chennai drawn in favour of “THE SECRETARY, SELECTION COMMITTEE,
KILPAUK, CHENNAI-10” towards the cost of application form with Prospectus.
a). Cost of Application: MBBS/BDS Rs.500/-
b). Candidates applying for Special Category have to submit the
special category form duly filled in along with the common application form
with a Demand Draft for Rs.100/- for each Special Category application.
SC/SCA/ST Candidates need not enclose the Demand Draft.
The SC/SCA/ST candidates who are Natives of Tamil Nadu are
exempted from payment of cost of application and Prospectus. They can obtain
the application on written requisition duly enclosing two sets of attested
Photocopies of the Community Certificate and Plus Two Mark Sheet / +2 Hall
Ticket (2014).
Only one application has to be sent for both MBBS/BDS admissions.

Filled-in applications are to reach The Secretary Selection
Committee, No.162, Periyar EVR High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai -600 010on or
before 5.00 p.m. on 02.06.2014.
