Combined Research Entrance Test-2014 (CRET- 2014)
The University of Allahabad shall conduct the
Combined Research Entrance Test-2014 (CRET- 2014) at Allahabad for admission to
the Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) Programme of the University for the session
2014-15 in the subjects specified below:
CRET-2014 shall have three Levels (Level 1, Level 2
and Level 3) of testing / assessment.
The Level 1 Test (multiple choice objective type
test for assessing general awareness, academic aptitude and subject
proficiency) and the Level 2 Test (subjective test for assessing subject
expertise and research aptitude) shall be by means of Written Tests, to be
conducted by the University. The Level 3 Test shall entail an interview and may
include Presentations. Group Discussions or other modes of appraisal and shall
be administered by the Doctoral Programme Committee of the Department /
Institute / Centre concerned.

Eligibility
Candidates
for admission to the DPhil Programme must hold the master's degree (or a degree
recognised by the University as equivalent thereto) in a relevant subject from
the University, or any other university or institution recognised by it, and
must fulfill other prescribed conditions of eligibility.
Regular teachers of the University of Allahabad and
of any institution maintained by it or admitted to its privileges and
International Students are exempted from appearing at CRET for admission to
DPhil program. All other candidates for admission to the DPhil Programme in the
concerned subjects are required to appear at CRET-2014 after applying and
register their candidatures through the Online Application and Registration
Process at the website www.aupravesh.org remitting the admissible Test Fees in
the prescribed manner.

for Online Form Submission:

Admission aspirants are required to have a scanned
copy of their colour photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm) and their signature. These
scanned copies of colour photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm) in JPEG (*.JPG) Format and
signature (in JPEG (*.JPG) Format) are required to be uploaded during the
online form submission. The file size of photograph and signature in any case
shall not exceed 20 KB for each file separately
Once the candidate has been Registered he / she
should view and take a print copy (Print-out) of his / her Admit Card from the
date 28 July, 2014 by entering his / her Application ID & Date of Birth.
