MEDICAL ADMISSIONS 2009-2010


Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Pune- 411030, has invited applications for admission to the various Medical Courses for 2009.

Admission will be to the Bharati Vidyapeeth University Institutions for MBBS at Medical College, Pune (150 seats), Medical College & Hospital, Sangli (100); BDS at Dental College and Hospital, Pune (100), Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai (100), Dental College and Hospital, Sangli (100), B.A.M.S at Ayurved College & Hospital, Pune (100), B.H.M.S at Homoeopathic College & Hospital, Pune (100).

Admission to all courses will be based on a Common Entrance Test (CET)-2009 to be conducted on 16th May 2009 (Saturday) from 1100 hrs to 1400 hrs at Pune, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Vadodara (Baroda), Indore and Banglore.

CET-2009 will consists of one question paper, set in English medium and will contain 200 multiple choice objective-type questions, 50 each on Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology based on the prescribed syllabus given in the Information Brochure available at http://www.bvuniversity.co.in/mbbs%20entrance.html Each correct answer will get one mark. There is no negative marking.

Applicant should be Indian National, born on or before 1st January 1993. (Applicant should complete 17 years on or before 31.12.2009) and should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (H.S.C.) or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2/HSC examination of any recognized Board/ University from any school/college situated in India after 12 years of study.

For admission to MBBS/BDS courses applicant should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. Applicant should also secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at CET-2009. SC/ST applicants should have 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination as well as at CET-2009.

For admission to BAMS Course, applicant should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in the 3 subjects together (40% in case of SC/ST).

For admission to BHMS course, applicant should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually, and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40% for SC/ST).

Candidates who are appearing/have appeared for qualifying examination may apply for CET-2009, provisionally.

This application form after downloading in colour print must be filled and sent by Registered Post/Courier to reach 'Admissions Office, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, C.E.T. Department, 2nd floor, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Pune-411030' along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 2,100/-, drawn in the name of, 'Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University' and payable at Pune, latest by   17.00 hrs on 5th May 2009 (Tuesday).
