Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, located at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, has invited applications for admission to the 2 year, regular M.A. Programmes in (i) Youth Empowerment (ii) Career Counselling (iii) Local Governance (iv) Life Skills Education and (v) Gender Studies for 2009-11, offered by RGNIYD in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), commencing on 1st July, 2009.   

Applicant should hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with not less than 40% marks from a recognized University. Experience in the field of Youth Development (NSS/NYKS/NCC/Bharat Scouts & Guides/Youth Hostel Association/Youth Red Cross/NGOs) will be desirable qualification.

There will be no age restriction for admission.  There are 30 seats per programme. Reservation Rules are applicable a per Govt. of India norms.

Application forms with Prospectus can be obtained from the Institute at Bangalore Trunk Road, Beemanthangal, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu-602105, on payment of Rs.100/- in cash. They can be obtained by post by sending a request showing clearly the address and a Demand Draft for Rs.125/-. It can also be downloaded from www.rgniyd.gov.in in which case, a Demand Draft for Rs.100/- is to be sent along with the duly filled in application.

All Demand Drafts must be drawn on a Nationalised Bank, in favour of 'Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development', payable at Sriperumbudur.

Filled in Application forms, should reach The Director, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India , Bangalore Trunk Road, Beemanthangal, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu-602 105, latest by 4 pm on July 1,2009.
