One year postgraduate diploma in Agro-Based Biotechnology (ABBT)
Dates for Issue of Application Form and Submission of the same for 2009 Session is extended upto 10th July, 2009.
Eligibility for course (1):
Intermediate (+2) with science, vocational agriculture or horticulture with minimum 55% marks in aggregate in both 10th & 12th standard exams. Students appearing for 12th standard exam with 55% marks in the 11th standard may also apply.
Eligibility for course (2):
BSc with Bio-Science, Agriculture or allied subjects with minimum 55% marks in BSc final examination. Students appearing for their BSc final exam, with minimum 55% marks in BSc second year may also apply. Candidates sponsored by any organization should be at least graduates in Bio-Science or any allied subject to age limit of 30 years as on 1 July 2009.
Note: 5% relaxation in marks will be given for SC/ST candidates in both courses.
Admission Test (for MSc course, both at Ranchi and Belur): 24 May 2009 (Sunday) from 10 am to 12 noon.
Last date of receipt of completed application form (for ABBT course): 10 July 2009

Prospectus and application forms will be available with immediate effect at any of the following addresses and may be collected either in person on payment of Rs.150/- in cash (or D/D in favour of 'Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama-RKMVERI' payable at Ranchi), or by post on payment of Rs.175/- by D/D.

Note: Students educated and trained in the emerging area of Rural Development and Management, with special emphasis on Tribal Development, are expected to be in great demand in the coming years in the governmental and non-governmental sectors, like in the Department of Rural Development, Nationalized Banks, NGOs working in rural development activity, micro-financing, rural health mission activities, solid waste management, etc and corporate houses under 'Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)' scheme.
