Applicant must be an Indian National who holds MBBS Degree from a Medical College recognized by MCI or a foreign Medical Degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing Compulsory Rotating Internship.
An Indian National who has qualified from a Foreign University/School must produce an eligibility certificate recognizing the qualifying examination as equivalent to MBBS as recognized by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences and the Medical Council of India which may be obtained from the (i) Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Kotkapura Road, Faridkot-151203, Punjab (http://www.babafariduniv.com) (ii) The Secretary, Medical Council of India, MCI at Sector-8, Pocket-14, Dwarka-1, New Delhi-110075 (http://www.mciindia.org)
Those undergoing 12 month Compulsory Internship/Practical Training and is likely to complete the same by 31.03.2010, can take the examination. However, they will not be eligible for admission unless they complete the Compulsory Rotating Internship and obtains full registration on or before 31.03.2010 or produces a Certificate from the Head of institution that they will be completing Internship by 31.03.2010.
Documentary proof Registration with the MCI/State Medical council has to be furnished at the time of counselling. An applicant, who is expected to complete the service obligation in lieu of Sponsorship (for MBBS/PG-Diploma) by 31.03.2010, may apply. A letter to this effect must be provided along with the application, from the Principal of the concerned Medical College or authorized representative of the sponsoring Body/Church or any other appropriate authority.
Applicant should have completed minimum 2 years of service obligation by 31.03.2010, allowing for adjustment of un-availed leave, if any. Courses include Diploma in Anesthesia, Obstetric & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pediatric Medicine, Radio-Diagnosis and Radiotherapy (total 22 seats) and Degree Courses in Anatomy, Anesthesia, Biochemistry, General Surgery, General Medicine, Obstetric & Gynecology (subject to approval), Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatric Medicine, Pharmacology, Physiology, Radio-Diagnosis and Radiotherapy (total 43 seats). Of the 65 seats, 32 seats are under minority category and 33 are under Open General Category. Details of seats etc., are available in the Prospectus.
Application package which will include the Prospectus Booklet, Application form, Form 99 and Admit card, will be available from Prospectus counter of CMC Hospital against a payment of Rs. 1000/- in cash, till 5 pm on 4th February, 2010 (Thursday).
Application package same may be obtained by Post till 29-01-2010, from 'Registrar, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana-141008', by sending a request on plain paper stating complete postal address, telephone/mobile number and e-mail address of the applicant along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1100/- drawn in favor of 'Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society', payable at Ludhiana.
