There are 76 seats for each Programme of which 44 each are under the General category. For each Programme, 11, 6, 13 and 2 seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC and PH categories respectively. Graduates from any discipline with valid CAT score (GMAT score for FN/NRI's) are eligible for admission to the MBA (Information Technology) Programme.
Those with BE/B.Tech./Post Graduation/LL.B or equivalent are eligible for admission to MS (Cyber Law & Information Security) Programme. Those appearing for the Qualifying Degree Examinations may also apply, if final result is likely to be declared by 14th July, 2010. Separate Form has to be filled for each program in case candidate is interested to apply for more than one program.
Application Form-cum-Information Brochure can be obtained from the Institute in person or by sending a request in a cover super scribed 'Request for MBA (IT) / MS (CLIS) Program Application form'. The cost of the application form, Rs. 1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates) can be paid in cash or through DD of any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of 'IIIT-Allahabad', payable at Allahabad. Application form with details can be downloaded from www.iiita.ac.in in which case, DD for the prescribed amount should accompany the completed application form.
The last date for issue of application forms in person is 21st January, 2010. The last date for receiving completed application forms at IIIT-A counter is also 21st January, 2010.
The Institute uses CAT score for short-listing the candidate for the two-year full time Post Graduate Programme(MBA-IT) in Management. Entrance Test & Interview, at IIIT-Allahabad only, for screened applicants in MBA (IT) will be held on 20th and 21st February, 2010. Entrance Test & Interview, at IIIT-Allahabad only, for screened applicants in MS (CLIS) will be held on 27th and 28th February, 2010.
