ADMISSIONS TO M.D.S Courses for the year 2010
 
Applications have been invited Commissioner for Entrance Examinations,  Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001, for the Entrance Examination for admission to M.D.S Courses for the year 2010, in the Government Dental Colleges, at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kozhikode.

Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin and should have a B.D.S Degree from any of the universities in Kerala or of any other University, recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto. Those who will complete one year Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship on or before 30.04.2010 are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination, subject to the condition that admission will be given only after registering with the Kerala Dental Council. Upper age limit for General Candidates is 45 years and that for Service candidates is 47 years as on 30.04.2010.

Selection to the course will be based on an Entrance Examination, to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) on 30.01.2010 at Thiruvananthapuram. The Entrance Examination consists of one Paper, of three hours duration, having 200 Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Questions. Details are available in the Prospectus.

Only those candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination by securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) will be considered for admission. Prospectus and Application form (common for General and Service candidates) can be downloaded from www.cee-kerala.org.

Filled Application (including those of service candidates who seek admission under General/Service Quota), with the necessary documents and a Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000/- (General candidates) and Rs. 500/- (SC/ST candidates), drawn on a Nationalized Bank, in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram should reach the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001, either by Registered/Speed Post or by hand latest by 5 pm on 16.01.2010 (Saturday).

Service candidates, applying under General merit also, need submit only a single application form to the CEE along with a DD of Rs.1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates). However Service candidates should forward a copy of the application form along with copies of all required documents (duly attested), as stipulated in clause X (c) of the Prospectus, to the Controlling Officer concerned (Director of Medical Education/Director of Health Services) to reach there latest by 5 pm, on 16.01.2010.

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will conduct the Entrance Examination, prepare and publish the rank list of candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the list to the Director of Medical Education (DME). The CEE will also prepare a separate list of qualified Service candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to the DME. The selection, admission and allotment of seats, including those under Service Quota, will be made by the DME, based on various provisions laid down in the Prospectus for admission to M.D.S - 2010 approved by the Government of Kerala.
