Eligibility for Admissions
a. M. Sc. Tech. Applied Geology
B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Geology as Honours/ Major/ Main/ Equivalent subject and any two subsidiary subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics and Computer Science.
b. M. Sc. Tech. Applied Geophysics
B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Physics as Honours/ Major/ Main/ Equivalent subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject and another subsidiary subject from Chemistry, Geology, Geography, Electronics, Statistics and Computer Science.
c. M. Sc. Mathematics & Computing
B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Mathematics as Honours / Major/ Main/ Equivalent subject and two subsidiary subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Statistics, Electronics and Computer Science.
d. M. Sc.* Applied Physics
B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Physics as Honours/ Major / Main/ Equivalent subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject, and another subsidiary subject from Chemistry, Geology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, Economics and Geography.
e. M. Sc. Chemistry
B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Chemistry as Honours/ Major / Main/ Equivalent subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject, and another subsidiary from Physics, Statistics, Electronics and Computer Science.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Admissions will be based on an Entrance Examination
Date and Time of Entrance Examination : 16th May, 2010, 09.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon

Bhubaneswar, Chennai, New Delhi, Dhanbad, Guwahati, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Varanasi
APPLICATION FORMS FOR EXAMINATION
Application form and Information Bulletin can be obtained from I.S.M. sale counter in the office of the ASSISTANT REGISTRAR (ACADEMIC) during oftfhice hours on any working day (Monday to Friday) from 04th January, 2010 to 05th March, 2010 on cash payment of Non-refundable Application Fee of Rs.550/- for SC/ST/PD applicants only and Rs.1,100/- for all other categories of applicants.
The application material can also be obtained by post from the office of the ASSISTANT REGISTRAR (ACADEMIC), I.S.M. by sending an A/c payee Demand Draft of Rs.600/-for SC/ST/PD applicants only and of Rs.1,150/-for all other categories of applicants, payable at Dhanbad and drawn in favour of the Registrar, I.S.M., Dhanbad, along with a self addressed unstamped envelope of A4 size.
The application form can also be downloaded from I.S.M. website (http://www.ismdhanbad.ac.in) and should be sent along with the original A/c payee Demand Draft of Rs.550/- for SC/ST/PD applicants only and Rs.1,100/- for all other categories of applicants, payable at Dhanbad and drawn in favour of Registrar, I.S.M., Dhanbad. The completed application form should reach the office of the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad- 826004, Jharkhand on or before 08th March, 2010.
All future correspondences should be addressed to Assistant Registrar (Academic), I.S.M., Dhanbad-826004, Jharkhand.
LAST DATE OF APPLICATION
Application form complete in all respects should be sent in an envelope (by writing on top left corner as "Admission to M.Sc. / M.Sc.Tech. 2010") to The Assistant Registrar (Academic), I.S.M., Dhanbad 826004, Jharkhand so as to reach on or before the closing date, i.e., March 08th, 2010.
