ADMISSIONS 2010-2012

 

The Central University of Kerala has invited application for the admission to the following post-graduate and doctral programmes for the academic year 2010-2011 (with eligibility to apply):

1.MA (Comparative Literature): Degree in any discipline with not less than 50% mark or an equivalent grade and a minimum of 50% marks in English.

2.MA (Economics): Degree in any discipline with not less than 50% mark or an equivalent grade.

3.MSc (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology): BSc (Chemistry/Biochemistry/any subject under Life Sciences) as major/core subject, with minimum of 55% mark or an equivalent grade in the subject.

4.MSc (Genomic Science): BSc (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ any subject under Life Sciences) as major/ core subject, with minimum of 55% mark or an equivalent grade in the subject.

5.MSc (Animal Science) : BSc (Zoology) main with Botany and Chemistry/ Biochemistry as subsidiary, with minimum of 55% mark or an equivalent grade in the subject.

6.MSc (Physics) : BSc (Physics), with minimum of 55% mark or an equivalent grade in the subject.

7.Integrated M.Phil/ Ph.D (Comparative Literature): Masters Degree or equivalent with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university in English/Comparative Literature/Linguistics.

8.Integrated M.Phil/Ph.D (Economics) : Masters Degree or equivalent with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university in Economics.

All degree mentioned above has to be under the pattern of 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university or a foriegn university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or having an equivalent degree with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade in the subject concerned for admission to PG programme in science, or an equivalent degree wiith not less than 50% or equivalent grade in the subject concerned for admission to PG programme in Humanities. (Relaxation up to 5% marks is granted to SC/ST candidates in the eligibility for admission). All admissions are based on a Common Entrance Examination.

Applications form for the CEE with respect to post-graduate programmes and off-line applications forms for MPhil/PhD programme are available on Central University website: www.cuk-edu.in.

For Post-Grauate programmes, the last date for submission of filled-in application is 27-05-2010 and for MPhil/Ph.D programmes, 03-06-2010.
