National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) - NIPER Joint Entrance Examination-2010 (NIPER-JEE 2010) for admission to M.S. (Pharm), M.Pharm, M.Tech (Pharm) and MBA (Pharm)

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) having centres at Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hajipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Rae Barelli and S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), has invited applications for the NIPER Joint Entrance Examination-2010 (NIPER-JEE 2010) for admission to M.S. (Pharm), M.Pharm, M.Tech (Pharm) and MBA (Pharm) Programmes of the Institute.

The Institutes and the available disciplines are as under:

Eligibility for M.B.A. (Pharm)

(i) Pharmaceutical Management; MBA (Pharm.); B.Pharm/B.Tech(Chemical Engg. or equivalent)/ M.Sc (Chemical / Life Sciences)

Selection will be based on a Common Written Test for all disciplines of the Masters Programme to be held from 10 am to 12 noon on 11th July, 2010 (Sunday) at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Trivandrum and Varanasi.

Applicants should have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for Physically Handicapped (PH) category on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination and also have valid GPAT/GATE/NET qualification. Valid GPAT/GATE/NET score is not essential for those holding B.V.Sc/ MBBS/BAMS Degree, Foreign Nationals, NRI and their wards category (in case of M.B.A (Pharm) only, Sponsored candidates from Public/Private Sector undertakings, Govt. Departments and Research and Development Organizations. Those appearing for final qualifying examinations can also apply but they must produce final result on the day of Counselling/Interview/GD failing which their candidature shall be rejected.5% of seats are available for officially sponsored candidates from Govt. Department/PSU/R&D organization, with minimum 2 years experience.

Details of eligibility, qualifications, availability of programmes, admission procedure and other relevant information are available in the Information Brochure and also at www.niper.gov.in/niperjee2010.html Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PH and Kashmiri Migrants will be as per Government of India norms.

Information Brochure will be available form 3rd May, 2010. Information Brochure containing Application form can be obtained in person, till 21st June 2010 or by Post till 5th June, 2010, from the office of the Organizing Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2010 (NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar) on submission of a request mentioning the name of the programme in the letter and also on the top of the envelope carrying the letter, a Bank Draft of Rs. 1000/-(Rs.500/- for SC/ST) taken in favour of 'NIPER-JEE 2010', payable at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh, along with two typed self-addressed (with name), Slips of 10 cms X 6 cms size. Indian nationals residing abroad and foreign nationals have to remit US$100 by Bank Draft, payable to 'NIPER-JEE 2010'.

Completed applications should reach the 'Organising Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2010, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, (NIPER), Sector 67, S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, 160062', through Speed /Registered post, latest by 21st June 2010. Attested copy of valid GPAT/GATE/NET score card only shall be sent with the application form.The result of the JEE-2010 will be notified at www.niper.gov.in/niperjee2010.html on 16th July 2010.
