Dr.G.R.Damodaran college of Science, affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and recognized by the University Grants Commission has invited application for the PostGraduate and Research programmes for the Academic year 2010-2011. Courses offered at the Coimbatore campus are detailed under with eligibility to apply:

1. MBA (2 Yr): Bachelors Degree in 10+2+3 pattern (MAT Score) and based on Entrance tests followed by Group discussion and / or Interviews.

2. MBA (3 Yr) (Part-Time): Employed with a Bachelor's Degree, MAT Score and 2 years Supervisory / Managerial level (or teacher) experience with a pass in any degree with Mathematics at +2 level and based on Entrance tests followed by Group discussion and / or Interviews.

3. MCA (3 yr): A pass in any degree with Mathematics and +2 level or any degree with at least one paper in Mathematics (or) Statistics at degree level and based on Entrance tests followed by Group discussion and / or Interviews.

4. M.Sc (2 yr)(Computer Science): Second class (50%) in B.Sc. (Comp.Sci/BCA/B.Sc. Comp. Technology/B.Sc. Information Technology/B.Sc. Software Systems/B.Sc. Electronics

5. M.Sc (2 Yr) (Biotechnology): I Class in BSc Biotech / Biology / Biochemistry / Chemistry with Biology ancillary / Microbiology / Zoology / Botany / Plant Science / Plant Biotechnology / Animal Science /Animal Biotechnology / B.Pharm. / Industrial Chemistry / Applied Microbiology/ Medical Microbiology/Human Genetics/ Medical Genetics / Molecular Biology / Genetics Technology / Environmental Science / Environmental Biotechnology /Genetic Engineering / Bioinformatics / Plant Biology and Biotechnology / Animal Cell and Biotechnology (or) Agriculture (or) BE or MBBS

6. M.Sc (2 Yr) (Microbiolgy): A pass in B.Sc. (Microbiology / Industrial Microbiology / Medical Microbiology / Botany / Zoology / Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry with 50% of marks

7. M.Sc(2 Yr) (Biochemistry): BSc Biochemistry / Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Applied Chemistry (or) candidates with B.Sc. B.Sc. Life Sciences / Botany / Zoology Nutrition & Dietetics (20% of the total allotted seats (or) candidates with Microbiology who have undergone the study of Biochemistry theory and practicals for 2 semesters.

8. M.Sc.(2 Yr) (Bioinformatics): Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences / Chemical Sciences / Physical Science /Mathematics / Statistics / Veterinary Sciences/ Fishery Sciences / Agricultural Sciences / Medical, Paramedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences / Food and Nutrition Sciences / Food Chemistry / Food Technology / Computer Sciences /Information Technology / B.Tech. Biotechnology with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. (A pass for candidates belonging to SC/ST). A Non-biology Undergraduate student should have studied Biology atleast at the +2 level.

9. MSW (2 Yr) (Social Work): BA. B.Sc, B.Sc (HSc) B.Com, BBA, BBM (or) any degree

10. MIB (2 Yr) & PGDIB (1 Yr)(International Business) : BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA / BBM (or) any other degree / any Graduate

11. MA (2 Yr) (Mass Communication): i) Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication (B.Sc. Visual Communication – Electronic Media), B.Sc. Electronics Media/ B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication (or) ii) Candidates with any degree         and based on the result of  an aptitude test conducted by the management.

12. PG.Dip(1 Yr) MM (Marketing Management):  Any Degree with 50% marks

13. PG DMS(1 Yr) (Multimedia Systems): A Pass in B.E. Comp. Science / IT / ECE / EEE / BSc Comp.Science/ BCA / B.Sc. CT / IT / Electronics

14. PGDBI (1 Yr) (Bioinformatics): Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences / Chemical Sciences / Physical Sciences / Mathematics/Statistics/ Veterinary Sciences/Fishery Sciences/ Agricultural Sciences/Medical, Paramedical and

Pharmaceutical Sciences/Food and Nutrition Sciences/Food Chemistry/Food Technology/ Computer Science/Information Technology/ B.Tech. Biotechnology with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. (A pass for candidates belonging to SC/ST). Non-Biology Undergraduate students should have studied Biology at +2 level

15. PGDTM (1 Yr) (Tourism Management): Any degree

16. M.Phil (Full Time & Part time) Bio-tech, Microbiology, Management Science, Computer Science., Commerce, Social Work and Communication:  As per Regulations of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Applications received by the Bharathiar University during June are forwarded and the respective candidates will be interviewed for selection at the college.

17. Ph D (Full Time & Part time) Bio-tech, Microbiology, Management Science, Commerce, Social Work and Communication: As per Bharathiar University regulations. Applications received by the Bharathiar University during June are   forwarded and the respective candidates will be interviewed for selection at the college.
