Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh has invited applications for Joint Entrance Test, 2012 (JET-2012) leading to admissions to various diploma level engineering courses being run in all the Institutions / Polytechnics in the State of Punjab for the session 2012-13. The Joint Entrance Test will be conducted on 19th May, 2012, (Saturday) at the following places:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR JOINT ENTRANCE TEST:
The test shall be open to candidates who have passed the matriculation or equivalent examination in Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO DIPLOMA LEVEL ENGINEERING COURSES:
There shall be cut-off marks for qualifying in the JET-2012 as under:
10% of total JET marks for General and other categories and 5% of total JET marks for SC/ST category candidates. Only those candidates whose secure cut-off percentage marks and above shall be given ranks and are eligible for online counselling and who have not been otherwise disqualified and whose rank has been declared by the Board, shall be eligible to appear in the counselling in the order of JET merit / ranking, subject, of course, to their having passed the basic qualifying examination.
APPLICATION FORMS:
Prospectus-cum-application forms are available at a cost of Rs. 50/- in the designated Branches of Punjab National Bank , affiliated Polytechnic Colleges and Suvidha Centres at Deputy Commissioner Offices in Punjab.
Processing Fee – Rs. 1000/- (for General Category) and Rs. 750/- (for SC/ST Categories) in the form of cash (only at the bank branches) or Bank Draft in favour of "Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training" payable at "Chandigarh" (by Post).

SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED APPLICATION:
Candidates can deposit the completed Application Forms in the designated Bank branches by paying examination fee + Rs. 20/- in cash and obtain acknowledgement slip. Forms along with DD for examination fee can also be sent to the punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Plot No. 1-A, Sector 36-A, Chandigarh - 160 036 by Registered Post/courier.
