"Child Development Aide" (CDA) Certificate Course Admissions 2012
Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has invited applications for admission to one-year certificate course viz. "Child Development Aide" (CDA) commencing on August 1, 2012.
The program focuses on a 'family based trans-disciplinary approach' to interventions for child development. It aims towards training a community worker towards developing skills required for:
* Promoting typical child development.
* Educating the community about prevention of disability.
* Identifying children at risk for or having developmental disabilities.
* Carrying out simple interventions through structured play and educational activities to address the developmental needs of children.
Entry Requirement:
* Class Ten graduate who is committed to completing the training program and implement the learned skills in the community.
* Fluent in spoken and written Hindi.
* Preference will be given to parents of children with disabilities and/or community workers working with children from underprivileged background.
Fees Structure:
Fees for a candidate for the entire one year training will be Rs. 25000/-. There will be no fees for the candidates who are sponsored by 'Not for Profit' organizations.
