Central University of Jharkhand Entrance Test (CUJET)2012

The Central University of Jharkhand shall conduct Central University of Jharkhand Entrance Test (CUJET) for the 5 year Integrated Post-Graduate Programmes on 6 May, 2012 for admission to following courses of the academic year, 2012-13.

Admissions will be made according to merit index comprising of marks obtained in entrance test (70% weightage) and academic (30% weightage), subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements mentioned below :

* 5Yr. Integrated MA Mass Communication
* 5Yr. Integrated MA English Language
* 5Yr. Integrated MA Indigenous, Cultural Studies
* 5Yr. Integrated MA Far East Languages (Chinese, Korean and Tibetan)
* 5Yr. Integrated MA International Relations
* 5Yr. Integrated MBA

Minimum Eligibility Requirements : 10+2 or equivalent examination in any discipline with 55% marks in aggregate.

* 5Yr. Integrated MSc Applied Chemistry
* 5Yr. Integrated MSc Applied Mathematics
* 5Yr. Integrated MSc Applied Physics
Minimum Eligibility Requirements : 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having 55% marks in aggregate.

* 5Yr. Integrated MSc Life Sciences
Minimum Eligibility Requirements : 10+2 or equivalent examination with Biology having 55% marks in aggregate.

* 5Yr. Integrated MTech Nanotechnology
* 5Yr. Integrated MTech Water Engineering and Management
* 5Yr. Integrated MTech Energy Engineering
Minimum Eligibility Requirements : 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having 55% marks in aggregate.

* 5Yr. Integrated MSc Environmental Science
Minimum Eligibility Requirements : 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science stream having 55% marks in aggregate.

RELAXATION IN MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY :
In the case of SC / ST candidates, for all the above courses there will be a relaxation of 5% in minimum percentage of marks in the aggregate. 10% relaxation for Kashmiri Migrants will be given for deciding minimum eligibility conditions.

RESERVATIONS :
* SCHEDULED CASTES / SCHEDULED TRIBES :
Seats shall be reserved for Scheduled Caste (15%) and Scheduled Tribe (7.5%) candidates in each course. Each SC / ST candidate shall have to submit a self-attested copy of the Certificate mentioning that the candidate belongs to SC / ST community. Such certificates shall be subject to verification of the concerned District Magistrate.

The following are empowered to issue the certificate :
(a) District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Collector / Deputy Commissioner / Addl. Deputy Commissioner / Deputy Collector / 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate / City Magistrate / Sub-Divisional Magistrate / Taluka Magistrate / Executive Magistrate / Extra Assistant Commissioner.

(b) Chief Presidency Magistrate / Addl. Chief Presidency Magistrate / Presidency Magistrate.
(c) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
(d) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his family normally resides.
(e) Administrator / Secretary to the Administrator / Development Officer (Lakshadweep Islands).

* OTHER BACKWARD CLASSES (OBCs) :
27% Seats shall be reserved for OBC candidates in each course.

* PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED (PC) :
Seats shall be reserved for Physically Challenged Candidates on horizontal reservation basis. Such candidates will have to submit a self-attested copy of Disability Certificate issued by the District CMO with the Application Form.

Sports Quota :
5% relaxation in the final merit index shall be given for such candidates, provided they fulfill minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates shall be considered for Sports quota only if they have played national / State (senior / junior / sub-junior / youth / school games federation of India) at least up to qualifying examination without any break of participation.

Hard copy (print-out) of the application form should be attached with a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) for General & OBC Candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC / ST candidates (PC candidates are exempted from application fees) in favour of Registrar, Central University of Jharkhand payable at Ranchi.

Candidates can opt for a maximum of two courses for the entrance examination. The fee payable for two courses would be Rs. 1000/- for General & OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates. If a candidate chooses two courses but attaches payment only for one course, he/she will be allowed to appear only for the exam of first choice.

Application Form along with Demand Draft should reach "Registrar, Central University of Jharkhand, CTI Campus, Ratu-Lohardaga Road, Brambe, Ranchi – 835 205" on or before 28th April, 2012.

Applicants must enclose the following documents with his/her Application Form :
(i) Demand Draft / Banker's cheque for the prescribed Entrance Test Fee.

(ii) Certificate(s) in support of the category claimed for reservation in the application form :
(a) Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate from the competent authority. (For SC / ST / OBC / OBC Minorities category candidates only).
(b) Self-attested certificate from Chief Medical Officer of a District. (For Physically Challenged candidates only).
(c) Self-attested copy of certificate(s) in support of 'Sports Seats' (if claimed for 'Sports Seats').

(iii) Application Form :
(iv) Self-attested copies of 10th and +2 Mark-sheet / Certificate. If the candidate is appearing for the qualifying exam, a certificate from the principal of concerned school or a copy of admit card should be attached.

ENTRANCE TEST CENTRES :
The Test will be held at the following centres, provided there are sufficient number of candidates for the concerned centre :
Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dhanbad, Guwahati, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Ranchi.
