Admission Notice for PG Programme, Session July-2012 And Renewal Notice for PG Programme 2010(17.02.2012)

Applications are invited for first phase admission to the following courses of the University for July 2012 session.

(a) M.A. in Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Social Work (SW), Education and English Language Teaching (ELT).
(b) M.Com.
(c) M.Sc. in Mathematics, Geography and Zoology.
(d) Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS).

Eligibility:
For (a) M.A. in Bengali, English, History, Political Science and (b) M.Com – Graduate (Three-year Course) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in the relevant subject and passed successfully.

For MSW – Graduate with Sociology / Political Science / History / Public Administration / Economics / Anthropology, for M.A. in Public Administration – Graduate with Public Administration / Political Science / Sociology / Economics, for M.A. in ELT – Graduate with English / Linguistics, for M.A. in Education – Graduate with Education / B.Ed. / B.Ed. (SEDE), for (c) preferably Honours Graduate in the relevant subject. Others may be considered if they studied at least 300 marks in the relevant subject at the undergraduate level and secured 55% marks in that for (d) BLIS degree from a recognized University.

Duration: 2 years for Sl. nos. (a), (b) & (c), 1-year for Sl. no. (d).
For admission to any of the above courses, candidates should collect Prospectus (including admission form) on payment of Rs.150/- from the designated branches of Axis Bank. Please visit the University website www.wbnsou.ac.in for list of Study Centres and respective branches of the bank. Details regarding admission procedure, course-structure, eligibility criteria, examination-patterns, evaluation method etc. are given in the Prospectus.


Distribution of Prospectus from Bank: 02.04.2012 to 11.04.2012.
Office hours of bank: Mon-Fri – 9.30 to 15.30; Sat – 9.30 to 13.30 (except bank holiday).

Verification and Endorsement of Application Form by the Study Centres except PG Geography and Zoology: During office hours of the respective Study Centres.

Period of depositing requisite fees to Bank: 12.04.2012 to 23.04.2012.
Last date for submission of filled in forms along with the University copy of the paid Challan to the Study Centres: 30.04.2012.
Collection of renewal fees for candidates admitted to the
PG programme in 2010: 24.04.2012 to 30.04.2012.

For PG Geography and PG Zoology duly filled in application forms with necessary documents have to be submitted at School of Science Building, NSOU at K2, Bidhannagar Fire Station (First floor), Sector-V, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700 091. Merit lists for admission to these courses will be published in due course on receipt of applications in subsequent phase(s) at the University website www.wbnsou.ac.in.

Dates of couselling, admission and mode of payment will be notified at that time.
