ADMISSION NOTICE
ABOUT CBIP: Central Board of Irrigation and Power was set up by the Govt. of India for monitoring of Irrigation and Power of our country in the pre-indipendence era. It is now committed towards the development of Irrigation, Power and Renewable energy sectors of the country thorugh its Human Resources development.
ABOUT THE COURSE: This is a modular type course of 52 weeks duration (2 semesters) covering the cmplete syllabus given under Indian Electricity Rules.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN? the main aim of the course is to develop a pool of technically trained manpower readily available for including them in Operation and Maintenance of Thermal Power Stations of Indian Power Sector, The Courseis also open for the sponsored canidates from SEBs/ Power utilities (Public & Pvt.)
ELIGIBILITY: B.Tech/ BE or equivalent in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from a recognized university/ institution. Those appearing in their final year examiantion can also apply. However, they must submit their degree/ provisional degree at the time of couseling/ start of the course.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION: Based on the marks of 10th, 12th, Engineering Degree GATE and PGDC-CET 2012 etc.
SPONSORED SEATS: 10% of the seats are reservedf or sponosred candidates having 60% marks in B.Tech, and 1 year experience in Power utilities for both of the above categories.
AGE LIMIT: For Non-sponsored candidates, the age limit is 27 years as on 07-07-2012. No age limit for the sponsored candidates.
FEES: For Non-sponsored and sponosred candidates Rs.50,000/- and Rs.200000/- respectively, excluding the loadging and boarding charges.
TOTAL SEATS: 60 The seats reserved for candidates sponsored from Power Utiliteis which will be covered to normal seast, if not filled up.
PLACEMENTS: CBIP maintains close linkages with all power utilities and reputed companies of Indian Power Sector which will help for placement of sthe students, sponsored candidates will not be considered for any campus placement. Almost all the candidtes of the 1st batch of T&D programme have been placed in various reputed organization inlcuding Central PSU and Placement activiteis for the 1st batch of PGDC (TPPE) has already been started.
