Post Graduate Diploma in Women’s & Gender Studies

Ø About the Programme:

This postgraduate diploma programme is meant for learners interested in acquiring conceptual, theoretical and analytical knowledge in the areas of women’s and gender studies from an inter-disciplinary perspective.  It is open to all students with an undergraduate degree in any discipline who may be interested in acquiring conceptual, theoretical and analytical knowledge in the areas of women’s and gender studies, or furthering their interests in these areas. 

The one year, 34 credit programme comprises of four core courses, intended to equip students with foundational knowledge in the discipline to prepare them for relevant employment opportunities later on. 

Ø Duration:

      1 year (maximum 3 years)

Ø Eligibility:

      Graduation in any discipline

Ø Courses:

Theories in Women’s & Gender Studies; Gender & Power;

Constructing Gender through Arts & Media, Gendered Bodies & Sexualities

Ø Career Opportunities:

      NGO’s, the public sector, law, medical field, counseling, journalism,            media, research, higher education
