ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR Ph.D PROGRAMME FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2012-2013

A competitive written examination on All India basis for admission to the Ph.D degree programme in different constituent Colleges of Central Agricultural University, Imphal will be held on 26th August, 2012 at 10.00 a.m. at the college of post graduate studies, Barapani, Meghalaya.
However, preference will be given to candidates belonging to six North Eastern States falling under the jurisdiction of the university namely Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura.
If vacant seats are available, the same will be opened to candidates belonging to other states.

College of Veterinary Sciences & A.H., Seleshi, Aizawl, Mizoram
Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (02 seats), Veterinary Microbiology (02 seats), Animal Nutrition (02 seats)
College of Post Graduate Studies, Umiam (Barapani), Meghalaya
Agronomy (02 seats), Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry (02 seats), Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (02 seats), Agricultural Economics (02 seats)
Eligibility: The candidates for admission to Ph.D programmes must have Master’s degree in the concerned subject/discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or an OGPA of 7.00/10.00 or 3.75/5.00 or 3.00/4.00 for General/OBC candidates and of 55% marks or an OGPA of 6.50/10.00 or 3.5/5.00 or 2.80/4.00 for SC/ST/PH candidates.
A good knowledge of English language
How to apply: The prescribed application form may be duly filled up and submitted to the Registrar, Central Agricultural University, Imphal-795004, Manipur along with a demand draft of Rs 500/- (Rs five hundred) only drawn in favour of Comptroller, CAU, Imphal payable at State Bank of India (main branch) Imphal
The candidates should also fill up the admit card
Important Dates
The last date of receipt of application form duly filled in either by post or in person at registrar office is 22nd August, 2012 upto 05.00 p.m.
Date of written exam: 26th August, 2012 at 10.00 a.m.
Date of registration/admission and commencement of session is 03rd September, 2012
