NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited for pursuing Ph.D in the
following departments from Candidates with Sponsorship from Government of
India/State Govt. Institutions or Sponsored/deputed
from recognized Universities. Candidates
with Fellowships from Government Agencies like UGC, ICMR, CSIR, DBT, NET and
permanent/Tenured employees of NIMHANS can also apply. The applicants eligibility for the Entrance
Test/Interview will be determined by the competent authority. The Entrance Test & Interview will be held during the month of October 2012

Mental Health Education (e) Neurology (f) Neurophysiology (g) Neurosurgery (h) Neurovirology (i) Nursing (j) Psychiatric
Social Work (k) Psychiatry (l) Psychopharmacology (m) Speech Pathology &
Audiology
NOTE: Candidates applying for Ph.D with Fellowship
from UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT, NET are exempted from the Entrance Test. However all the candidates have to attend an interview
and qualify by obtaining minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for admission to the
Ph.D Programme.
Applications will be issued from 7th August to 15th of
September 2012 at the
Academic Section of NIMHANS on payment of Rs.1500/- per application (Rs.1000/-
in case of SC/ST candidates) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of
“DIRECTOR, NIMHANS”.
The last date for the receipt of the duly filled in
Application is 15th September 2012.
