Special Admission Test (SAT) September 2012
Indian Maritime University (IMU) announces admission for B.Tech (Marine Engineering) in IMU Chennai Campus through Special Admission Test (SAT).
Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must be 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University. Candidates appeared for final examination and awaiting results can also apply. For details about eligibility criteria, pertaining to particular course, candidates are advised to refer the information brochure at www.imu.tn.nic.in.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years/ Maximum 25 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST 5 years.
Selection Procedure: Selection to the courses are based on the performance of candidates in IMU SAT September 2012, which is scheduled to be held at various IMU Campuses throughout India on 9th of September 2012 (Sunday) between 10 am and 1 pm.
How to Apply:
IMU-SAT Application Form will be made available through the following channel:
• Downloading the application form, information brochure and Challan (State Bank of India/Axis Bank/Indian Bank) through www.imu.tn.nic.in and paying the relevant fee of Rs.800 for General and Rs.450 for SC/ST Candidates through Challan (State Bank of India/Axis Bank/Indian Bank) in any branch throughout India and get the Journal number from the bank.
• Filled in application, in all respects, must be sent to the “Controller of Examinations i/c, Indian Maritime University, East Coast Road, Uthandi, Chennai – 600119” by superscribing the envelope “Application for IMU-SAT September 2012 for B.Tech (Marine Engineering).
Scholarship: The Scholarship only for TEN - SC meritorious Candidates as per SAT Exam is available as per Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Government norms. Scholarship will be eligible whose parental annual income is below Rs. 4.5 Lakhs.

Date of SAT Exam : 9.9.2012 – 10am to 1 pm
Exam Centres : Chennai, Cochin, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kandla, New Delhi and Vizhag.
