ADMISSION NOTICE
Applications
are invited from eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D degree
programmes of this University in various disciplines during Spring Semester,
2013 for academic session 2013-14 under various categories.
The
applicant must have passed Master's Degree programme in the concerned subject
with minimum OGPA of 6.00 on 10.00 Scale or 60% marks (in traditional system)
from an Institute/University recognized by the ICAR/UGC.
Eligible
candidates shall be required to appear before the Selection Committee of the
University for viva-voce Test on the date, time and venue to be notified
separately.
1. The
applications as per the format forming Annexure "A" to this Admission
Notice available on University website must be accompanied with a
non-refundable demand draft for Rs. 1040/- (Rupees One thousand forty only) for
Open Category and Rs.2080/- (Rupees Two thousand eighty only) for Payment
category seats, drawn in favour of Comptroller, SKUAST-K, payable at J&K
Bank Ltd. SKUAST-K branch Shalimar.
2. Candidates
with 03 years bachelor's degree and 02 years Masters degree shall be required
to complete one-year remedial course before registering for the regular
courses.
3. For
payment seats the fee shall be charged as Rs.20, 800/- (Rupees Twenty
thousand and
eight
hundred only) per semester. This is in addition to normal fee/other charges
payable by the candidates at the beginning of each semester.
4. Applications
complete in all respects and accompanied with the relevant documents in support
of entries made in the application form with three copies of recent passport
size photographs and three specimen signatures on a separate sheet, must reach
the office of Registrar latest by February 09th 2013
upto 4.30 p.m.
5. Incomplete
applications and applications received beyond the last date shall be summarily
rejected.

number of seats and application form as annexure to this notice can be down
loaded from University Web-Site, (www.skuastkashmir.ac.in)
The number of seats is subject to increase / decrease.
6. University
reserves the right to withdraw any or all seats and/or defer filling of any or
all the seats advertised here-in-above without assigning any reason thereof.
7. Candidates
having completed their Masters degree programme by or before 09th of
February, 2013 shall only apply for the admission. No applicant shall be
entertained/considered for screening/selection, if he/she has not completed
his/her Masters Degree Programme by the date as indicated above.
