1. Programmes: Ph.D. in Electronics, Electronics &
Telecommunication, Information Technology, Computer, Mechanical ,Chemical,
Civil Engineering and Technology Management
2. Eligibility:
a. Ph.D. (Engineering):
M.E./M.Tech (Minimum two yrs) at first attempt with minimum 60 percentage / grade B+ (as mentioned by
University in Final Marksheet) at Masters Level
or
M.E./M.Tech (Minimum two yrs) at first attempt with minimum 55 percentage / grade B (as mentioned by
University in Final Marksheet) at Masters level & B.E/B.Tech with minimum
60 percentage / grade A (as mentioned by University in Final Marksheet)
at Bachelor level.
b. Ph.D. (Technology Management):
M.E./M.Tech/ (MBA with BE/B.Tech) (Minimum two yrs) at first attempt with minimum 60 percentage / grade B+ (as mentioned by
University in Final Marksheet) at Masters level
or
M.E./M.Tech/(MBA with BE/B.Tech ) (Minimum two yrs) at first attempt with minimum 55 percentage / grade B (as mentioned by
University in Final Marksheet) at Masters Level & B.E/B.Tech with minimum
60 percentage / grade A (as mentioned by University in Final Marksheet)
at Bachelor level.
The Candidates must have completed Masters in stipulated duration
as per University/ Institution awarding degree.
3. Duration of the Programme: Minimum 3 & Maximum 5
Years
4. Intake: 25 seats
5. Selection Process:
• NMIMS Entrance Test
• Presentation based on SOP followed by Personal Interview
During interview candidates are expected to discuss their research
interest/area
Selection will be on merit
Note: Candidates those who have qualified in NET/SET/GATE/JRF
examination of the apex bodies in higher/technical professional education such
as UGC, CSIR, ICMR or other
equivalent examinations (such as DST/DBT) are exempted from NMIMS
entrance test. However they have to appear for Personal Interview

Registration Online on website www.nmims.edu .Fill up online
registration form & forward Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- (Non refundable)
drawn in favour of SVKM’s NMIMS payable at Mumbai along with the below
mentioned documents to:

• Copy of duly filled Online application form
• Degree Marksheet & Certificate (attested copy)
• Post Graduation Marksheet & Certificate (attested copy)
• Statement of Purpose (Format attached).SOP should describe area
of research
• UGC/CSIR/ICMR or other equivalent examinations certificate (if
appeared)
7. Important Instructions:
• Any qualifying Bachelors/Master degree completed by the
candidate through Distance or correspondence mode will not be eligible to
apply.
• Any qualifying Bachelors/Master degree completed by the
candidate through Part time are eligible to apply
• Candidates appearing or awaiting for final year result are
not eligible to apply
• Please see the important dates and preserve it as a guide. All
announcements from the Institute will be through its website www.nmims.edu.
• All disputes under Mumbai jurisdiction only.
• Please check eligibility criteria before applying for the
course.
• NMIMS has full right to disqualify a candidate at any stage of
admission process if found ineligible.
• Candidate’s application form will not be considered if they
fail to submit the above mentioned document till 8th April 2013.NMIMS will not be responsible for non-delivery or non-receipt of
Demand Draft sent through postal authorities or courier.
8. Refund Rules
The Schedule of refund of fees will be as follows:
1. Till the date of commencement of the Programme.
Rs.1000/- will be deducted as administrative charges
2. After the commencement of Programme but before the close of the
admission. Rs.1000 +
Proportionate fees i.e. one tenth of the fees for every completed month or part
thereof, if the seat vacated by the candidate is filled. If the seat remains
vacant /unfilled no fees will be refunded.
3. Cancellation after the official closure of admission.
Cancellation made after the official closing of admission no fees
will be refunded.
