For
Ph.D. Forestry Entrance Test 2013
The Forest Research
Institute Deemed University is going to conduct its Ph.D. Entrance Test on 07th July 2013 for
enrolment in Ph.D. Programme in Forestry. The candidates, who are
interested for registration as research scholar for the Ph.D. Degree in
Forestry in Forest Research Institute (Deemed) University Dehradun and its
Research Centres for the term of September, 2013/March 2014 are advised to
apply in prescribed form latest by 10th May 2013 with a fee of Rs.1000/- through Bank Draft in favour of
Registrar, FRI Deemed University, Dehradun. The research centre-wise position
of seats is mentioned below. For eligibility please see clause 3 of the
Ph.D. Ordinance available on the website. No application form will be entertained
after the prescribed date. The last date for
submission of application at Research Centre is 30th April 2013 so that the same may be
reached in the FRI Deemed University by 10th May 2013. The prescribed
form be downloaded from the website http://fri.icfre.gov.in.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the
admission for doctoral programme, a candidate must
a. Hold a master’s degree or
its equivalent from any recognized university / institute in a subject approved
by F.R.I. University.
b. Have received grades 55%
or above in Post graduation for general category and 50% or above for SC / ST.
The minimum qualifying marks
in entrance examination for general candidates is 50% and for the SC / ST / OBC
candidates is 45%. The candidates who have qualified UGC / CSIR (JRF)
Examination / GATE / NET and ICFRE Employees will be allowed to appear for the
interview directly without appearing in the written entrance test.
