ADMISSION NOTICE
National School of Drama [T.I.E wing] Tripura, in
collaboration with Dept. of Information & Cultural Affairs and Higher
Education, Govt. of Tripura, invites applications for admission to its
residential one year certificate course in Theatre-in-Education. The course
will begin from 1st August 2013 and aims at preparing theatre teachers for
schools and other TIE activities.

ELIGIBILITY:
Essential
Qualifications:
[i] Graduation in any stream from a recognized
university in India or abroad.
[ii] Experience in theatre or formal/non-formal
teaching at school level.
[iii] Working knowledge of Hindi and English
Preferable: Graduation from a recognized theatre training institute OR a degree
in education/child development/psychology from a recognized institution OR
experience in working with children in theatre and ability to relate to
children.
AGE LIMIT:
Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years, as on 1-8-2013.
HOW TO
APPLY:
The application form can be download from the
School website www.nsd.qov.in from 15th March 2013 onwards. It is also
available at National School of Drama (T.I.E Wing) Tripura, Nazurul Kalakshetra
Complex, North Banmalipur, Agartala-799001, Tripura, between 10am to lpm, and
also at the Book Shop, National School of Drama, Bahawalpur House, Bhagwan Das
Road, New Delhi-110001 between 10am to1pm.
Attested copies of certificates and testimonials
must be attached with the application form. Duly-filled application forms,
along with a demand draft of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of Camp Director NSD
(T.I.E Wing) Tripura, must be sent to Camp Director NSD (T.I.E Wing) Tripura,
Nazurul Kalakshetra Complex, North Banmalipur, Agartala-799001, by post or can
also be submitted by hand.
The last date for receiving the duly-filled application form
is 15th April 2013. No applications will be entertained after the last date.
SELECTION
PROCEDURE:
After scrutinizing the applications, the
shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the final selection through a
2-4 day workshop.
For
candidates from Tripura, the selection workshop will be held at Nazurul
Kalakshetra Complex, North Banmalipur, Agartala-799001, Tripura and for
candidates from other states apart from Tripura, it will be held at National
School of Drama, Bahawalpur House, Bhagwandas Road, New Delhi -110001.
Candidates must produce original certificates and
testimonials during the workshop. An expert committee constituted by National
School of Drama, New Delhi, will assess the aptitude and talent of the
candidates and the committee's decision will be final. Any CANVASSING in this
regard will be treated as a ground for disqualification.
PHYSICAL
FITNESS:
All selected students will have to have to undergo
a medical test for physical fitness. Their final selection is subject to
clearance of the fitness test.
