I. Undergraduate Course & Eligibility: B. A (English, History, Economics, Malayalam, Political Science, Sociology, and Anthropology): Pass in Pre-Degree / Plus Two or Examination Equivalent thereto. Fee to be remitted at the time of admission – Rs 1350/-

B. Sc Mathematics: Pass in Pre-Degree /Plus Two or Examination Equivalent thereto with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Fee to be remitted at the time of admission – Rs 1350/-

B.B.A, B. Com (Co-operation):  Pass in Pre-Degree /Plus Two or Examination Equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% marks for Non-Commerce students and pass for Commerce students.Fee to be remitted at the time of admission B.B.A – 3800/- B.Com – 1350/-

B.C.A: Pass in Pre-Degree/Plus Two or Examination Equivalent thereto with Computer Science/ Computer application / Mathematics as one of the subjects. Fee to be remitted at the time of admission – Rs 6500/-

B. A (Afzal-Ul-Ulama): Pass in Afzal-Ul-Ulama Preliminary Examination. Fee to be remitted at the time of admission – Rs 1250/-

Afzal-Ul-Ulama (Preliminary): Pass in S.S.L.C or Examination Equivalent thereto. Fee to be remitted at the time of admission

SC/ST and OEC candidates are eligible for fee concession and SC/ST, OEC and OBC candidates are eligible for relaxation of marks as per rules (5%).

II. Certificate Courses: Afzal-Ul-Ulama (Preliminary): Pass in S.S.L.C or Examination Equivalent thereto.* Fee to be remitted at the time of admission – Rs. 950/-

Additional Optional (Co-operation): Pass in B. Com – Rs 1000/- Examination from Kannur University. Fee to be remitted at the time of admission – Rs. 975/-

III. Post Graduate Courses: (Admission fee Rs. 3000/- for all courses below)

M.Sc Mathematics: Grading: Pass in B. Sc (Mathematics) with CGPA 1.5 (2009 & 2010 Admission) or CGPA 2.00 (2008 Admission) in Part III.

Non Grading: Pass in B. Sc Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks in Part III main (excluding subsidiaries).

M. Com : Grading: Pass in B.Com / B.B.A / B.B.M / BBS with CGPA 1.5 (2009 & 2010 Admission) or CGPA 2.00(2008 Admission) in Part III.

Non Grading: Pass in B.Com / B.B.A / B.B.M / B.B.S equivalent Degree with not less than 45% marks in Part III.

M. A English : Grading: Pass in B. A English or Functional English with CGPA 1.5 (2009 & 2010 Admission) or CGPA 2.00 (2008 Admission) in Part III. Pass in BA / B Sc with SGPA 1.5 in Part I English with three papers.

Non Grading: Pass in B.A. in English or Functional English with a minimum of 45% marks in Part III main (Excluding Subsidiaries) or pass in B. A / B. Sc Degree with a minimum of 45% marks in Part I English with three papers.

M. A Political Science : Grading: Pass in B. A Political Science with CGPA 1.5 (2009 & 2010 Admission) or CGPA 2.00 (2008 Admission) in Part III.

Pass in any Degree with CGPA 1.5 (2009 & 2010 Admission) or CGPA 2.00 (2008 Admission) in Part III.

Non Grading: Pass in B. A. Political Science with a minimum of 45% marks in Part III main (excluding subsidiaries). Pass in any Degree with a minimum of 45% marks in Part III.

M. A History : Grading: Pass in B. A History with CGPA 1.5 (2009 & 2010 Admission) or CGPA 2.00 (2008 Admission) in Part III.

Non Grading: Pass in B. A. History with a minimum of 45% marks in Part III main (excluding subsidiaries).

M. A Economics : Grading: Pass in B. A Economics with CGPA 1.5 (2009 & 2010 Admission) or CGPA 2.00 (2008 Admission) in Part III.

OR Pass in B. Sc (Mathematics / Statistics) with CGPA 2.8 (2009 Admission) or CGPA 3.00 (2008 Admission) in Part III.

Non Grading: Pass in B. A. Economics with a minimum of 45% marks in Part III main (excluding subsidiaries). OR Pass in B. Sc (Mathematics / Statistics) with a minimum of 70% marks in Part III (excluding subsidiaries).

Applications: Submission of Application:- Application must be submitted online through the website www.sde.kannuruniversity.ac.in (link - Register as a Student) after remitting the admission fee.

Payment of fees :-

1. By Chalan in Treasury [Head of Account 8658-00-102-96(27) KUS] or

2. In SBT [Head of Account 102-005]

3. DD in favour or Finance Officer, payable at Kannur University Branch of SBT (only for applicants outside Kerala)

Fee Concession: - SC/ST/OEC candidates will have the following options for availing fee concession (subject to Government rules)

1. Parallel college students: Take online admission after remitting the required admission fee and apply for scholarship for parallel college study through the Block Development Officer concerned, with the Certificate issued by the University to the effect that fee has been paid.

2. Other students: Take online admission without remitting the fee and apply for fee concession in the prescribed format attaching Community, Nativity and Income Certificates along with application for admission.

Relaxation of Marks:- SC/ST/OEC and OBC candidates are eligible to get relaxation of 10% and 5% marks respectively in the minimum marks prescribed for admission under non grading pattern subject to minimum for pass. Documents to be submitted:-The printout of the online application (photo duly attested), Chalan (original), Transfer Certificate (original) and one passport size photograph along with the following documents shall reach the office of the Director, School of Distance Education, Kannur University, K U Campus P.O, Mangattuparamba, Kannur – 670567on or before the date prescribed for closing of the online registration.

Afzal-Ul-Ulama (Preliminary) & BA/B Sc/B Com/BBA/BCA: 31-08-2013

Post Graduate Courses : 30-09-2013

Closing with fine of Rs. 200/- all courses : 31-10-2013

Closing with a fine of Rs. 500/- all courses: 31-12-2013

Additional Degree: - Candidates who has qualified for the graduate course / programme of Kannur University or other University shall be permitted to appear for another graduate programme provided he / she has undergone the prescribed programme for a period of not less than two academic years through the School of Distance Education by doing all the courses of the programme.
