Subject:-Entrance Test for Admission to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2013-14.

Applications on the prescribed forms are invited from the eligible candidates having state
domicile/state subject of Jammu & Kashmir for admission to the following Undergraduate and
Postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2013-14.

PROGRAMMES AND ELIGIBILITY:

A) Undergraduate programmes:
1 B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture:
10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture with Science subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for open merit category and 40% for reserved category.

2 B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology: 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

3 B.V.Sc. & A.H.: 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for open merit category and 40% for reserved category.

B) Postgraduate programmes:
1.  M.Sc. Agriculture & Allied Sciences
2.  M.V.Sc.
Eligibility: i. Bachelor’s degree in respective/related subjects
ii. 6.00/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage (60%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for General category candidates.
iii. 5.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage (55%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for SC/ST/PH category candidates

3. M.Sc. Biotechnology: The candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology/Agriculture/Veterinary Science/ Life Sciences with OGPA 6.00 on 10.00 point scale or equivalent percentage (60%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree.

APPLICATION FORMS: The Information Brochure along with OMR Application Form can be had from the following centres against (Non-Refundable) payment of Rs.1200/- (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred Only) in respect of General Category and Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) for reserved category to be deposited in Account No. 1235040500000038 (IFSC Code JAKA0EAURSP) (MICR Code 180051087) of Asstt. Comptroller (HQ) Exam. Cell, SKUAST-Jammu at any branch of J&K Bank.

The candidates must log on to website: www.skuast.org  for generating a bank challan after filling the requisite information. After taking  the print out of the Bank challan the candidate must deposit the requisite fee in any branch of J&K Bank.

How to deposit the fee for obtaining the Information Brochure & OMR Application Form
 The candidates must log on to our website: www.skuast.org for generating a bank challan after filling the requisite information. After taking the print out of the Bank challan the candidate must deposit the requisite fee in any branch of J&K Bank. The candidate must have to deposit the University copy of bank challan with the above mentioned Sale Counters either of University campuses or designated branches of J&K Bank for obtaining the information Brochure & OMR Application Form.

Important Dates:
i Issue date/sale of application form (During Office Hours)  24-05-2013 to 14-06-2013
ii Last date for the receipt of Application Forms (without late fee) complete in all respects in the office of the Dy. Registrar (Acad), SKUAST-Jammu, Chatha  (During Office Hours)  17-06-2013
iii Last date for the receipt of Application Forms with Late  fee of Rs. 1000/-  18-06-2013
iv Date of Entrance Test:
i. Postgraduate programme: 07-07-2013
ii.Undergraduate programme:  14-07-2013



The candidates will have to appear in the Entrance Test at their own expenses.
