NOTIFICATION
Under-graduate Self-financing Professional Courses for the
session 2013-14
Applications in the prescibed forms are invited for
Entrance Examination, 2013 for Admission to the Selffinancing Professional
Courses in Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.), Bachelor of Computer
Application (Hons.), Bachelor of Science in Bio-Chemistry (Hons.) and Bachelor
of Science in Bio-Technology (Hons.) courses at the Under-graduate level for
the session 2013-14.
Intending candidates may sit for the Admission
Test(s) for B.B.A. (H), B.C.A. (H), B. Sc. in Bio-Chemistry (H) and B. Sc. in
Bio-Technology (H) courses organised centrally at the University level.
Admission of students in different affiliated
institutions would be finalised in a counselling session by the University on
the basis of the result of Admission Tests.
The prospective candidates for the said courses
should note that they would not be given any priority or preference for
admission to P.G. courses at the University level on the ground of becoming
students of Colleges /Institutions under the University of Burdwan. Usual norms
and practices would be followed in respect of their admission in the said P.G.
courses.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the said
courses are :
1) B.C.A.(H) : Students passed H.S. (10+2) in 2010
and onwards or appeared H.S. (10+2) in 2013 with Mathematics/
Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Application/Business Mathematics.
2) B.B.A.(H) : Students passed H.S. (10+2) in 2010
and onwards or appeared H.S.(10+2) in 2013 in any stream (Arts, Science &
Commerce).
3) B. Sc. in Bio-Technology(H) and B. Sc. in Bio-Chemistry
(H) : Students passed H.S. (10+2) in 2010 and onwards or appeared
H.S. (10+2) in 2013 with 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry &
Biology/Mathematics.
4) Forms & Prospectus are available on and from 7th June,
2013 (Friday) from the Sales Counter at Rajbati, Burdwan, Burdwan
University Camp Office, 7/1 Block-EE, Sec.-II, Bidhan Nagar, Salt Lake, Kol-91
and from the Colleges/Institutes where the above mentioned courses are taught.
The cost of Form is Rs.300/- each. Form & Prospectus will also be available
from University Website www.buruniv.ac.in.
Candidates who will collect form through
Website have to deposit a draft of Rs.300/- in favour of the Finance Officer,
The University of Burdwan, P.O. Rajbati, Burdwan at the time of submission of
form.
5) Students are required to submit attested copies
of testimonials with the application form. 2 copies recent passport size
photograph are to be pasted on the proper place indicated in the application
form.
6) Names of 4 (four) courses have been mentioned in
the application forms. Students are required to mark tick(√) on the course for
which he/she is applying for.
7) The students who are willing to apply formore
than one course are to apply separately for each course.
8) The last date for submission of duly filled in
application forms is 28th June, 2013 (Friday).

10) The date of Publication of Result of Admission
Tests of all the courses is 5th July, 2013 (Friday).
11) Results of admission test will be available in
the college/institute where they submitted their application forms and at Rajbati
office of the University. The result of the Admission Tests will also be
available from our Website www.buruniv.ac.in.
12) Counselling of the above courses will held on 7th
July, 2013 (Sunday) at 11.30 a.m. at DDE Building, Golapbag, The University of
Burdwan, Burdwan.
13) At the time of counselling candidates have to
deposit Rs.1,000/- (one thousand only) for enrolement.

a) BBA(H) - - Rs.23,000/- per year (in 2
instalments)
b) B.C.A.(H) - - Rs.28,000/- per year (in 2
instalments)
c) B. Sc. in Bio-Chemistry(H) & B. Sc. in
Bio-Technology(H) - Rs.30,000/- per year (in 2 instalments)
The last date for submission of duly filled in application
forms is 28th June, 2013 (Friday).
Date of Admission Test: At DDE Building, Golapbag, The
University of Burdwan, Burdwan: 29th June, 2013 (Saturday)
The date of Publication of Result of Admission Tests of all
the courses is 5th July, 2013 (Friday).
