Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology is a fully residential Institute located in Sector-3 at Dwarka, New Delhi. It was established in 1983 by Delhi administration with the approval of the Govt. of India to meet the growing demand of manpower in high-tech areas of Engineering & Technology. The institute became autonomous in 1987.

 With in a span of 30 years since its inception, NSIT has carved a name for itself and it is now an established institute with well equipped modern Laboratories, well laid down `Profile of Growth` and a strong commitment for achieving excellence in technical education and research, with the ultimate oal of achieving University status in near future.

Ph.D Programmes (Full- Time)
Applications are invited for Teaching- cum-Research-fellowship in all the Divisions/Schools. The areas of interest include, the following which may be multidisciplinary if required:-
(i) Division of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE):
Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal processing ; CMOS Analog circuits, Analog VLSI, Statistical Signal Processing, Electromagnetics, Gravitation, VLSI, Optical networks and Optical communication, Wireless Communication, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Statistical Signal Processing, VLSI DSP, Speech Processing, Image Processing, Microwave Engineering, Optical Communication, Optical Networks, Computer Communication.

(V) School of Applied Sciences (SAS): Mathematics : General Relativity and Cosmology, Complex Analysis, Approximation Theory, Operator Theory, Fluid Mechanics, Biomechanics, Boundary Layers flow with heat Transfer, Gas-dynamics, Linear and Nonlinear waves. Chemistry : Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Technology . Physics: Material Science, Boundary Lager Flow with heat transfer, Gas dynamic waves, lie group of Transformations, Fluid Dynamics, Solar Energy Materials and green buildings, Nano-materials for energy.
(vi) Bio-Technology: Industrial Enzymes, Bio-energy, Bio-remediation & Novel Therapeutics and Antimicrobial agents, Computational Structural Biology, Protein-protein interactions, drug targets & drug design.

Eligibility Conditions
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline (For ECE, COE, ICE, MPAE, IT) Securing 70% or more marks in aggregate and Masters Degree in Science or Equivalent in relevant area (as detailed at point No. V & Vi above) of Applied Sciences & Bio-Technology (in accordance with Ordinance VI-B, University of Delhi) securing 70% or more marks in aggregate.
In case the result of qualifying degree is given in CGPA/FGPA/CPI/DGPA the candidate should attach the conversion formula given by the university/institute and fill up the application form accordingly with the percentage; failing which his/her percentage will be calculated using the formula as per AICTE guideline. For example if the CGPA is 8.5 in the scale of 10 then percentage will be  (8.5 – 0.75) X 10 = 77.5%
A written test will be organized on department level (Irrespective of with/without fellowship) which will have multiple choice questions of one hour duration. The selection of the short listed candidates after written test shall be made by the selection committee of the respective department on the basis of the performance of the candidate in written test, power point presentation (7 to 10 minutes on any area of his/her interest preferably research area) and Interview. Interviews will be held in Oct./Nov. 2013.
Candidates selected for admission to the Ph.D. Programme will have to subsequently apply to the University of Delhi for Ph.D registration as per University Rules and will have to complete the course work as per the ordinance VI B of University of Delhi.
 Candidate appearing in the qualifying exams must ensure that their final results (with requisite marks) are declared before the date of Interview (probably in Oct./Nov. 2013) otherwise they will not be allowed to appear before the selection board.
Selected candidates shall be required to deposit institute fee and other charges immediately at the time of registration for which he/she will be intimated before the date of registration well-before-the
time. The amount payable by him/her will be in DD/cash as per rule. Limited hostel accommodation is available which will be provided to students subject to availability.
No TA/DA will be admissible to the applicants called for written Test/Interview.

Financial Assistantship to Ph.D Scholars
The institute aims at identifying suitable candidates having keen interest in teaching and research who would like to take up a career in Academics. In line with this objective, therefore, a scheme “Teaching-cum-Research-fellowship” has been introduced. Exceptionally brilliant candidates
having keen interests in an academic career, shall be considered for this fellowship.
 The Institute currently offers a Teaching-Cum-Research Fellowship of Rs. 25000/- pm for 1styear and Rs. 30,000/- per month for next two years. Successful candidates, on completion of Ph.D. under the scheme, stand good chance of being considered for absorption as faculty in this institute through proper Selection Committee.
A scheme also exists for the award of Research Fellowship for providing financial assistance to the students for which a fellowship of Rs. 18,000/- per month for first two years and Rs. 20,000/- per month after 2nd year is available. In terms of this scheme, the student who have 70% or more marks in master’s degree but he/she is found suitable only for research and not for teaching can be considered for admission to Ph.D. Degree programme as Research Fellow.
