XIMB ADMISSIONS NOTICE

Invites applications for admission to the following Xavier University programmes for the year 2014.

MBA
1. Two-year full-time Postgraduate Programme in Business Management, 2014-16
MHRM          
2. Two-year full-time Postgraduate Programme in Human Resource Management, 2014-16
MBA - RM
3. Two-year full-time Postgraduate Programme in Rural Management. 2014-16     
MBA & PhD 
4. Integrated Doctoral Programme    
Eligibility: For all the above 4 programmes, minimum 3 year bachelors degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognised University/Deemed University. Final year degree students, completing their final examinations by June 15,2014, can also apply.

Admission Test: All applicants are required to appear for any one of the following tests:
a) XAT to be conducted by XLRi on January 5,2014, or
b) CAT to'   conducted by IIMs during 16 October -11 Nov. 2013, or
c) GMAT taken in 2012 or 2013 (minimum score 550).

Applicants have to follow XAT/CAT advertisements respectively and apply in time, before separately applying to XIMB.

MBA-PT
5. Three-year part-time Postgraduate Programme in Business Management, 2014-17

A programme designed for experienced executives, working any where in India.

MBA- GLOBAL
6. Two-year full-time Postgraduate Programme in Global Management and Leadership, 2014-16

3-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate, from      
INCLUDES 4 MONTHS EACH STUDY AT FORDHAM UNIVERSITY, NEW YORK AND AMS, BELGIUM.

• XIMB uses XAT/CAT/GMAT scores for shortlisting candidates for its full-time Postgraduate Programmes in Management. XLRI or IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programmes.
• There is no paper-based application form for seeking admission to XIMB.
• The application fee Rs.1300/- for one application form, and Rs.750/- each for every additional form) should be paid after filling up the Online Application Form (s), as instructed therein.

Last date for applying online to XIMB is November 30, 2013.

 Admission procedure for 2014-16 batch

Eligibility: The minimum requirement for admission to the Programme is a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university/deemed university. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2014, can also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15.

Admission Test

Applicants are required to take any one of the Admission Tests: a) XAT to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 5 January, 2014, or b) CAT to be conducted by IIMs during 16 October - 11 November 2013, or c) GMAT taken in 2012 or 2013 (minimum score 550). Applicants have to follow XAT/CAT advertisements respectively and apply in time. Registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB.

XIMB Application

Applicants also have to fill up the online application form separately for XIMB programme at: www.ximb.ac.in  Upon successfully filling the online application form, the Payment Advice Form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same payment advice form and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non-refundable) in one of the following ways:
1. Use the Payment Gateway link available on the XIMB online application page to pay the relevant application fee (those applying via multiple tests or applying for multiple programs can pay the total amount in a single transaction) through:
    a) Net Banking using your account holding bank’s net banking options (of any bank in India); or

    b) Credit / Debit Cards of any bank in India.

    (You should send to XIMB the PA Form(s) along with a copy of Payment Gateway Response, as proof of payment.);

 OR
2.  A Demand Draft for the respective amount made out in favour of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
On receipt and processing of proof of payment via Payment Gateway or DD for the required amount and the Payment Advice Form, the Bulletin 2014 will be mailed to the applicant . The last date for applying online is November 30, 2013, and for receiving the application fee it is December 10, 2013.

It may be noted that besides registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT, one has to apply (online) separately to XIM, Bhubaneswar.

Online application forms will be accepted subject to the receipt of the application fee by XIMB. Upon receipt of the payment the eligible applicants will be intimated by e-mail about the acceptance of their applications.

Selection Process

The Institute will decide the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. WAT, GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the Interview session. The final selection will be made on the basis of the candidate's performance in the XAT/CAT/GMAT as well as in the Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience). The selected candidates will be informed by mail in the month of April 2014.


Admission

The programme will begin by the middle of June 2014 for the first year students. At this time the students will be given a Manual of Policies and Regulations which will be binding on them.
