In
suppression to earlier Notification No. 104 (Acad) of2013 dated 20-ll-2013, the
applications on the prescribed form (Annexure-A) are invited from the eligible
candidates on All India Basis for admission to Ph.D. programmes in the
following disciplines during the IInd semester of academic session 2013-14.

Eligibility :
i)
Master's degree in respective/related subjects. ii) 6.50/10.00 or equivalent
OGPA,/equivalent percentage (65%) of marks at Master's Degree for General
Category.
iii)
6.00/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage (60%) of marks at Master's
Degree for SC/ST/PH Category.
Admission
1.
Selection for admission shall be made on the basis of academic merit and performance
in the interview, for which the counselling will be held at Counselling Room,
Administrative Block of SKUAST-J, Chatha, Jammu from 10:00 a.m. onwards on
08-01-2014. The admission criteria is reproduced below:

2.
20% seats are reserved for admission to
Ph.D. programme in each faculty for in-service candidates.
3.
Relaxation of 0.5% marks per year of service upto maximum of 5% marks to
in-service candidates seeking admission in Ph.D. programme.
Application
forms
l.
The application on the prescribed forms alongwith attested copies of
testimonials/marks certificates from matriculation onwards, accompanied by a
Bank Draft for Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) (non-refundable) drawn in
favour of Comptroller, SKUAST-J payable at J&K Bank, Jammu must reach the
office of Registrar SKUAST of Jammu, Main Campus, Chatha on or before 3l-12-2013 upto 5.P.M.

Candidates in employment should apply through proper channel and shall have to produce
No Objection Certificate from their employers at the time of admission.
Important

The University may cancel the admission of a candidate, if at any stage, it is
found that the candidate obtained admission bv misrepresentation of facts or
that the admission was made erroneously.
o
Incomplete application forms received after expiry ofthe said date will not be
entertained.
