Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Advertisement notice for admission to Basic Horticulture Training (BHT) 2014

Applications as per the prescribed format (Annexure invited from the eligible permanent residents of different districts of Jammu Province of J&K State (Jammu province only) for admission to the following diploma course during the academic session 2013- 14 :-

1. Basic Horticulture Training (BHT)
Eligibility: Pass in 10+2 examination with science subjects. Candidates possessing Short Term Certificate courses in respective discipline from ICAR recognized Universities/Institutions shall be given preference.

Age: Not Less Than 17 years as on 31-12-2013.

Duration: One year.

Fee Structure: The course fee shall be charges in advance at the beginning of each term as under:
1st term Rs.6350/-
2nd term Rs. 2350/-

How to apply: The applications on the prescribed format complete in all respects accompanied with crossed demand draft amounting to Rs. 200/- only on account of application charges drawn in favour of Comptroller 3KUAST-J payable at RCC Jammu must reach Registrar SKUAST-J main Campus Chatha, Jammu-180009 on or before 30-12-2013 alongwith following documents.
• Marks certificate of 10+2 or equivalent examination.
• Date of Birth certificate (Matriculation)
• State Subjects Certificate
• Character Certificate
• Income Certificate
• Category Certificate
Selection to Basic Horticulture Training (BHT) shall be made on the basis of District wise merit of candidates in qualifying examination i.e, 10+2 or equivalent.

Start of Classes:  20 -01-2014
 Reservation in admission shall be given to the
candidates as per the provisions under SRO
remain vacant in the directly admitted candidates (District Quota), such seats shall be converted to general quota.


Reservation in admission shall be given to the reserved category candidates as per the provisions under SRO-294 of 2005. In case some seats remain vacant in the directly admitted candidates (District Quota), such seats shall be converted to general quota.
