Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD) Sixth Batch (2014-15) & Post Graduate Diploma in Tribal Development Management (PGDTDM) Third Batch (2014-15)

About the Programmes: NIRD is commencing its Sixth One Year PG Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development Programme and Third One year PG Diploma Programme in Tribal    Development Management in Distance Mode from 1st April 2014  The candidates who are admitted in the month of April. 2014 will have to complete the programme by March 2015  The Programmes will be offered through two semesters with 16 credits each The PG Diplomas will be awarded by the NIRD

Note: The Institute collaborates with several Institutes/ Organisations for its different programmes and will be at liberty to enter into agreement with any other Institute/organisations.

Special Features : Printed self-instructional material and proximate Contact Centers spread across the country    Participation in Contact Session is not compulsory and it will carry no marks. However, those Students participating in them will be benefitted.

Examinations :   Each Course (100 Marks) offered in any Semester will have 30 Marks for the continuous Evaluation through Assignments and 70 Marks for Semester    End       Examinations The Students will also have to undertake a Project relating to Rural Development/Tribal Development in the Second Semester which will also carry 100 Marks .

Eligibility: A Graduate degree in any discipline from a uGC recognized University. For foreign applicants, degree of their University should be recognized by their Government and their competence m English should be ensured
Duration: One year. Medium of Instruction : English

Programme Fee: Rs 10.000/- (Rs 9.000/- for SC/ST/PH). to be deposited in two equal installments at the commencement of each Semester    For sponsored  candidates, full Fee will have to be deposited at the time of admission Fee for NRIs and foreign nationals is $ 1 700 to be paid at the time of admission

How to apply: The Application Forms and Information Brochure can be downloaded from NIRD s Website www.nlrd.org.in The filled in Applications accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs 500/ (Rs 300/- for SC/ST/PH candidates) drawn in favour of 'NIRD-DEC-PGD-SRD" payable at Hyderabad, towards Application Fee (No Application Fee for NRIs and Foreign Nationals) along with attested copies of the required Certificates as mentioned in the Application Forms should reach Project Director.
